Run Claim Edits on Appointments or Encounters

You can run batch claim edits from the Appointment Lookup and Encounter Lookup windows when you select multiple appointments or encounters, and then select Claim Edits from the right-click menu. Batch editing generates the report (and tasks if configured to do so) but does not actually create claims. Perform a search for appointments in the Appointment Lookup window or for encounters in the Encounter Lookup window. In the list of matching results, select the check boxes to enable the appointments or encounters you want to run the claim edits for. Right-click in the results list, and then select Claim Edits. Using Twelve Diagnoses for Electronic Claims

You can have up to twelve diagnoses for any claims except 1500 claims. Support for twelve diagnoses includes: An increase of up to twelve diagnoses without a claim break. To enable this option in the Enable billing of encounter diagnoses on claims field, select 12 diagnoses codes and enable the Disable diagnosis claim break check box in Claims under the Practice Preferences window. Added a warning that displays on the Claim Production Status report when: An electronic claim has more than the desired number of diagnoses (4, 8, or 12). The table describes the preferences available for setting up NextGen® Enterprise EHR in your practice. Options Description Use PM as EHR's scheduling source Select this option to use NextGen® Enterprise PM as the default scheduling source in the Workflow module in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You cannot create appointments or modify appointment information (except room and status) in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The Appointments section of the Workflow module displays all available resources and appointments in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Options for Adding Diagnosis Codes

In the Diagnosis (Dx) section of Today's Visit, you can select and add multiple diagnosis codes at a time from various options. You can rearrange the order of the diagnosis codes, and update and delete the added diagnosis codes. Note: You can use 25 complimentary diagnosis workflows per month. For unlimited use of diagnosis workflow, you must upgrade to the NextGen® Mobile Plus or NextGen® Mobile Pro package.
