Set Up Printer Options in User Preferences
To configure your printer settings for printing credit card receipts, you can access the User Preferences Printing tab. Select Admin > Preferences > User > General. The User Preferences window opens. Select the Printing tab and then select Account Receipt, right-click and select Open. The Print window opens. Complete the applicable fields. Set Up User and Timestamp Options in Practice Preferences
When printing receipts you can identify the user who issued the receipt by user ID or username. Select Admin > Preferences > Practice > Itemized Bills. The Practice Preferences Itemized Bills window opens. In the User/Timestamp Options field, select one of the following options: Show UserNameUserID/Timestamp (default) - displays the username, user ID and date and time of the transaction on the receipt. Show UserID/Timestamp - only displays the user ID, receipt date, and time of the transaction on the receipt. When selecting this option, the username does not display on the receipt. Print a Credit Card Receipt
A credit card receipt can now be printed from the Payment Entry window. The Print menu includes the new option CC Processing Receipt. You can print a receipt for either posted or unposted credit card payments. On the Payment Entry window, complete the following fields: In the Payer field, select Patient. In the Pay Code field, select the electronic payment's transaction code. In the Pay field, enter the dollar amount of the payment. Note: The CC Pay button becomes active after the Payer, Pay Code, and Pay fields are populated. Complete the payment transaction for your vendor. Ask the Patient to e-sign. Click the Print icon. The receipt prints and an archived copy of the receipt is stored at the account level for source account, budget, or invoice transactions. Review the fields that are printed on the receipt. Set Practice-Level Printing Defaults
Set practice-level printing defaults in the Practice Preferences Printing. Access the Practice Preferences by doing one of the following: In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Admin > menu > Preferences > Practice. In File Maintenance, select Master Files > System > Practices. Double-click a practice, and then select Preferences. Practice Preferences Printing window opens. Set Up Orders Module Practice Preferences
Open File Maintenance and select System > Practices. Double-click a pratice. In the Modify Practice Information window, select Preferences and then select the Orders Module. There are several check boxes to set preferences for printing, the use of the NextGen Compendium, and other settings. There are additional preferences associated with the Orders module that can be set for your practice.
