Set Up Payers to Print Images with Claims
In File Maintenance, select Master Files > System > Payers. Select the applicable payer. The Modify Payer Information window opens. Select the Practice tab and then Other sub-tab. Setting Up Claims to Print NextGen® Document Management Images
You can print images (such as X-rays) that are associated with an encounter when you generate the claim for the encounter. To configure images to print with claims, you must: Set up the Payers master file to enable printing images with claims. Set up specific document types to print with claims. When you set up a payer to print NextGen® Document Management documents with claims, the applicable document types are collated and printed with the payer's claims. Set Up Claim Print Options for All Payers
The Common Rules tab lists the Claim Printing options that apply to all payers. In File Maintenance, select Libraries > Claim Printing. The Claim Printing List window opens. Select the applicable library or select open menu and select New. The Claim Printing window opens, displaying the Common Rules tab. Select the claim type in the 1500 Claims, UB Claims, or the ADA Claims fields. Select the settings for the print options in the Option and Setting columns you want to use and then select OK. Assign Document Types to Users by Security Group
Before you begin Set up document types. For more information, go to Set Up Document Types. You can control which document types are available to each NextGen® Document Management security group. The NextGen® Document Management security groups correspond to the user groups in System Administrator. When filing a document batch, users can apply only those document types that are available to their user group. Note: Users cannot file or search for documents until you assign document types to the user groups. Only a user with administrative rights can add document types to a group. To open the Security Groups window, do one of the following: Open NextGen® Document Management, and then from the menu, select Admin > Security. Open File Maintenance, then in the Master Files section, select System > Document Management, and then select Document Types. Select the open menu button, and then select New. Preview and Print Paper Claims
The Claim Printing window enables you to bulk preview and print the paper claim forms. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select File > Print Forms > Claims. The Claim Printing window opens. Select the preferred Print Format. Select the type of Form. Do one of the following: Select Preview to view the claim forms. Select OK to print the claim forms. Set Up Medicare and Medicaid Claim Types
These options enable you to run claims processing for Medicare and Medicaid claim types without receiving edits due to the format requirements of these claim types. In File Maintenance, access the Payers Master file. Select Payers. From the Payers List File Maintenance window, double-click the appropriate payer. Select the System tab and then the Claims sub-tab.
