Schedule an Event Chain over Multiple Days

Event chains can include any type of member events already created. An event chain, for a pre-employment includes lab work, drug screening, x-rays, and so on that may or may not be able to be completed on the same day. Some of these items may need to be completed before others. Therefore, you may have to schedule some of the events in the chain for different days.
  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
  2. From the main toolbar, select the ApptBook button.
    The Appointment Book window opens.
  3. In the Daily, Weekly Schedule, or Multi-View tabs, select the resource, date, and time slot for the first event in the event chain.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • From the Appointment Book toolbar, select the Add Appt button.
    • Right-click the time slot and, select New from the menu.
    • Double-click the time slot.
    The Add Appointment window opens.
  5. In the Event/Event Chain field, select the desired event chain.
  6. To change the date and time of the event chain, select the arrow in the Resources field and do one of the following:
    • Double-click the event to be scheduled on a different date and time.
    • Right-click and select Change Date Time from the menu.
    The Add Appointment window opens.

  7. In the Date field, select the calendar button and select a new date for the event.
  8. In the Time field, select a new time for the event.
  9. Select OK to save changes and close the window.
  10. Enter the details for the required fields in the Add Appointment window, to schedule an appointment.
    The events are now scheduled for different days.
