Saving Report Snapshots

You can save a "snapshot" of a report that you have generated. A snapshot:
  • Is a saved copy of the exact report currently displayed.
  • Differs from a memorized report in that a memorized report retains merely the filter and column settings of a report.
  • Preserves the exact data that the system generated for that instance of the report.

As its name suggests, a snapshot is basically a photograph of a report. Like a photograph, you can view a snapshot of a report, but you cannot alter it in any way. It exists for historical reference purposes only. The application saves the report snapshots that users create. You can access and view the available report snapshots at any time.

For information on locating and viewing existing report snapshots, see Locate and View an Existing Report Snapshot.
