Reset Print Dates for Batch Appointment Reminder Letters

When a batch of appointment reminder letters is printed or exported and the Update Dates button is selected, each patient's chart is updated with the date/time the letter was generated. At that point, all appointments in the batch no longer qualify for a letter.

There may be situations where a batch of appointment reminder letters needs to be reprinted. For example, a batch was printed in error, there was a printer or paper problem, or there was an issue with the export file. If it is necessary to reprint a batch of letters, the print date must be reset, or cleared, so the appointments in the original batch will again qualify for a letter.

  1. From the File menu, select Print Forms, then Letters, and then Appt Reminders.
    The Appointment Reminders window opens.
  2. Select the Reset button.
The Reset Print Dates window opens.
  3. Select the Date the appointment reminder letters were originally printed or exported, and then select the Reset Dates button.
The Reset Print Dates for App Reminder window displays the following prompt: Found [n] App Reminder that printed on [mm/dd/yyyy]. Do you want to reset these to reprint today?
  4. To reset the print dates, select Yes.
The following prompt displays: App Reminders printed on [mm/dd/yyyy] have been reset to print today.
  5. To continue and close the prompt, select OK.
The print date is reset for all appointment reminder letters originally printed or exported on the selected date. The letters are now available for reprinting/exporting.
