Desktop Settings
In NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can resize windows and reposition them on your screen. For example, you can make the Add Appointment window larger or smaller and move it to the right or left side of the screen. You can also customize the order and width of columns on some windows. For example, on the Appointment Lookup window, you can add or remove columns in the Appointment List section and change the order and width of the columns. The changes you make in NextGen® Enterprise PM are saved to your desktop settings, and your customizations appear whenever you open a window. A Reset Desktop Settings option is available to undo your customizations and reset all windows to their original default settings. Resizing the Add or Edit Appointment Window
You can change the size and position of the Add Appointment or Edit Appointment window as needed. When you make changes to the window, the changes are saved to your desktop settings and it remains the same when you open the window again. You can resize the window as follows: Resize the window from the top or bottom to adjust the height to eliminate up or down scroll bars. Resize the window from the left or right to adjust the width to eliminate left or right scroll bars and display more information on the side tabs. Resize the window from any corner to adjust height and width. Resize and rearrange columns on the side tabs. Move the window to dock the form on the window. Viewing the Desktop Layout
NextGen® Enterprise PM opens to the main desktop window, when you log on using your credentials. You can access various areas and functions of NextGen® Enterprise PM from the main desktop window. The NextGen® Enterprise PM main window comprises the following components. Resize the Balance Control Window
You can customize the size and position of the Balance Control window. When you make changes to the window, your changes are saved, and they display each time you access the window. Resize the window from the top or bottom to adjust height. Resize the window from the left or right to adjust width. Resize the window from any corner to adjust height and width. Move the window to dock the form on screen. You can reset all windows and columns to their original size and position. On the far right of the main toolbar, right-click and select Reset desktop settings. A message appears stating that do you wish to restore the memorized window attributes for the entire application. Desktop Menu Bar
Desktop menu bar The menu bar on the main window in NextGen® Enterprise PM comprises the following menus: File Edit Tasks Reports Admin Window Help File Menu The File menu contains printer settings, print forms, processes and tools related to the handling of reports and various menu options. Edit Menu The Edit menu contains standard windows commands to cut, copy, and paste text. Tasks Menu The Tasks menu contains options, such as Lookup, Advisor, Appointment Book, and Appointment Search in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Reports Menu You can can create reports or view preconfigured reports that provide information on specific areas of your practice. Admin Menu The Admin menu enables you to set up Advance Audit and customize preferences. Window Menu The Window menu displays a list of all windows currently open in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Activate Auto Close
Access NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences, and then Practice. The Practice Preferences window opens. From the Preference List on the left, select General. To enable auto close, select the Auto-closing check box. To save changes and close the window, select OK. Parent topic: Auto Close
