Programs in NextGen® Enterprise PM

Practices may provide services to their patients or clients under various programs. Each program includes care and assistance to patients with a specific illness, condition or need, and depending on the program, enrolled patients can receive the following services; recovery and rehabilitation, symptom management, therapy, counseling, medication management, coping and daily living skills, transportation.

Some programs may have service requirements. For example, a program may require that only specific services are provided, that services are provided only to patients with a specific diagnosis, that services are rendered only by providers with a specific credential, or that services are provided only to patients within a specific age group.

In addition, some programs may have billing requirements. For example, a program may require that services are rendered a specific number of times within a specific time-frame before billing those services.

The programs functionality in NextGen® Enterprise PM enables you to do the following:

• Define programs with service requirements.
• Enroll patients or clients in a program.
• Link patient encounters to their program.
• Alert users when an encounter or charge does not meet program requirements.
• Generate reports for encounters linked to programs.
