An on-demand account-level receipt summarizes the transaction payments and all payments on the account. The account-level receipt contains the following information: 
  
   - Payments applied to multiple patients on a single account.
 
   - Payments made for multiple encounters on the account for a single patient.
 
   - Unapplied payments.
 
  
 A person, employer, or guarantor can have an account with a medical practice and an account-level receipt for any of these entities. The account-level receipt includes the total payment amount, amounts for each patient name, the encounter number, and the amount applied to each encounter.
