Print On-Demand Account-Level Receipts

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM On the main toolbar, select Account Account Lookup Button. The Account Lookup window opens. Enter the search criteria data, then select Find. Person and employer accounts that match the search criteria appear in the Account List section of the Account Lookup window. Double-click the account to open. The Account Profile window opens. Select the Account Summary tab. Right-click a transaction, and then select Account Receipt. The Print Account Receipt window opens. Select Print. A message appears stating that the printing of the account receipt is in progress. Note: You can also print receipts on demand from the Payment Entry window. Configuring the Header and Footer for Multi-page-Account Receipts

Printing of multiple pages could be inconvenient to a given practice that has encounters with multiple charges and transactions resulting in multi-page-account receipts. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can print the standard header on the first page and the standard footer on the last page for multi-page-account receipt. You can choose the printing options for Header/Footer Display Options from Forms under Preference List in the Practice Preferences window. Employer Accounts Overview

You can create an employer account when the employer is selected as the guarantor on a patient’s encounter for the first time. You can also generate statements for the employer’s account that include encounters with outstanding self-pay balances. A guarantor can have only one account applicable for one or more patients, each with one or more encounters. For example, an employer is a guarantor on several encounters for the employees who are seen for pre-employment physicals or drug screens. An employer account can also be manually created for an employer that billed by invoice. For example, the practice may participate in a flu shot clinic conducted at an employer’s facility and that employer is billed by invoice for the flu injections provided to their employees. NextGen® Enterprise PM assigns each account a unique account number that you can find on the employer's Account Profile window. Components of Account Receipt

The standard account receipt header includes the following information: Fields Description Header Make Checks Payable To Displays the practice name and address. Note: This section is replaced with a practice or company logo if imported from the File > Tools > Image Explorer. ADDRESSEE Displays the guarantor name and address. IF PAYING BY CREDIT CARD, FILL OUT BELOW Displays the requirements for credit card details. REMIT TO Displays the practice name and address. Message Displays the header message from Practice Preferences > Itemized Bills Body DATE Displays the date of main transaction in the first row, and the date of service in the other rows ACCT/PATIENT NAME Displays the guarantor name and the patient name. ENC/INV Displays the invoice numbers and service sequence followed by the encounter number, and service sequence. DESCRIPTION Displays the main transaction in the first row, service item codes in the remaining rows; and if applied, the unapplied amount in the last row. PYMT ON

You can print an on-demand account level receipt Summarize the current payment that was entered and saved on for an account in the Payment Entry window. View the total payment amount, total for each patient, encounter number, and amount applied to each encounter in the Account Summary window for unapplied payments. Note: At the account level, when the payment is partially utilized on an encounter and the remaining balance is unapplied at the account level, then the receipt displays the payment line and the amount applied to each encounter.
