Print or Export a Patient Statement from the Charge or Payment Window
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. To open the Patient Statement window from the Charge Posting window, do the following: Select Charges. The Charge Posting window opens. Select the patient and encounter. Select Print Menu, and then select Statement. The Patient Statement window opens. To open the Patient Statement window from the Payment Entry window, do the following: Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Posting. The Batch Posting window opens. Select the batch, and then right-click and select Open. The Payment Entry window opens. Select Statement from the menu. The Patient Statement window opens. The default settings on the Patient Statement > General tab are from pre-defined settings in Practice Preferences > Statements. Review the default Statement Options settings and make modifications, if needed. Generating Individual Demand Statements
You can generate a demand statement for an individual guarantor account from the following areas in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The statement includes all patients on the account that have encounters where the account was selected as the guarantor. Account Lookup Account Profile A demand statement for an individual patient can be generated from the following areas in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The statement includes encounters for the selected patient only. Patient Lookup Patient Chart Charge Posting Payment Entry Print or Export an Account Statement from Account Lookup You can print or export an account statement from Account Lookup on the Guarantor Statement window. Print or Export an Account Statement from the Account Profile You can print or export an account statement from the Account Profile on the Guarantor Statement window. Print or Export a Patient Statement from the Patient Chart
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Chart. The Patient Lookup window opens. Enter Search Criteria to locate the desired patient. Select Find. From the search results in the Matching Records section, double-click to open the patient. The Patient Chart window opens. From the main toolbar, select the Statements button. The Patient Statement window opens. The default settings on the Patient Statement > General tab are from pre-defined settings in Practice Preferences > Statements. Review the default Statement Options settings and make modifications, if needed. Note: The Enterprise, Practice, Location and Provider filter tabs are not available when printing an individual demand patient statement. Do one of the following: To print the statement, select Print. To create an ASCII export file to be sent to a third-party vendor for processing (printing and mailing), select Export.
