Appointments

This section displays appointment statistics for the current practice. The statistics shown are Real-Time and are updated when the Advisor window is refreshed. Appointment statistics include: Scheduled Today: Total appointments scheduled on the current date Checked-In Today: Total appointments checked-in on the current date Checked-Out Today: Total appointments checked-out on the current date Canceled Today: Total appointments canceled on the current date Scheduled Tomorrow: Total appointments scheduled tomorrow Total Kept (YTD): Total appointments kept year-to-date Parent topic: Sections Displayed on the Advisor

Claims

You can view claim statistics for the current practice. Statistics shown are As of Last Night and are updated when the nightly Advisor Update Process runs. Claims statistics include: Paper Claims: Total paper claims (1500/UB/ADA) in Pending status and total charges on those claims Electronic Claims: Total electronic claims (1500/UB/ADA) in Pending status and total charges on those claims Claims Processed (YTD): Total paper and electronic claims processed year-to-date and total charges on those claims Note: Each time a claim is created for an encounter, it is added to the (YTD) totals. Sections Displayed on the Advisor

The following sections display on the Advisor window: Hyperlink and Messages You can create a custom Hyperlink to display in the upper-left corner of the Advisor window. This provides a way for users in the practice to easily access a website of your choice. Appointments You can view appointment statistics for the current practice. Cost Estimation for an Encounter

You can estimate the patient cost for an encounter with any status such as Bad Debt, Billed, History, In Progress, Rebill, or Unbilled. Encounters with or without SIM codes are considered for cost estimation. If you want to open the Estimate Patient Cost window from the Encounter Lookup window, do the following: To open the Encounter Lookup window, you can select Encounter on the toolbar or select Tasks > Lookup > Encounters from the menu. You can find the specific encounter using the search criteria. You can then right-click the encounter and select Estimate Patient Cost from the menu. If you want to open the Estimate Patient Cost window from the Encounters tab on the Patient Chart window, do the following: You can select Chart on the toolbar to open the Patient Chart window. On the People Lookup window that opens, find and select the patient. On the Encounters tab of the chart, you can right-click an encounter number from the list and select Estimate Patient Cost from the menu. By de

Encounters Reinstated from Bad Debt

The following occurs on encounters that have been reinstated from bad debt: Account Alert: If all bad debt encounters are reinstated, the system generated Account Bad Debt alert no longer appears whenever the guarantor’s Account Profile or Patient Chart is accessed. If one or more encounters remain in bad debt status, the alert continues to display. Note: The bad debt alert must be enabled in Practice Preferences > Alerts. Encounter Status: The encounter status changes from Bad Debt to Billed, indicated by a medical building icon. The icon is seen in the guarantor’s Account Profile on the Encounters Detail and Acct Summary tabs. It is also seen in the patient’s chart on the Financial and Encounters tabs. Encounter Note: A Reinstate from Bad Debt note is automatically added to the encounter, indicated by a push pin icon.
