Working Tasks in Enterprise Mode

The Enterprise Worklog Manager window enables you to work tasks for practices to which you have access within the current enterprise. You can access the tasks created in practice in which you have not logged in, but the practice is in your Included list within Practice Defaults window. The count of tasks displayed in Task List within the Enterprise Worklog Manager window for the selected one or more practice depends on the Lookup Limits User Preferences. If you are responsible for working tasks across multiple practices and have many tasks in each practice, the system will pull up as many tasks as it can from the first practice, then the second, and so on until the look up limit is met. If the lookup limit is met by the tasks listed for the first practice, tasks for other practices are not displayed unless additional filtering is added. To work tasks within the Enterprise Worklog Manager window, select the task and right-click for options. The options available are: Open Delete Account

Make Available Enterprise Worklog Manager

The Enterprise Worklog Manager facilitates you to manage tasks from different practices without having to log on to each practice. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Admin > Preferences > User > General. The User Preferences window opens. Select the Tasks tab. Tasks tab opened in the User Preferences window Select the Enterprise Worklog Manager checkbox. An application message appears asking about the confirmation for default selection of all practices for the Enterprise Worklog Manager. Select Yes for automatic pre-selection of all practices in the Practice field on the Enterprise Worklog Manager window or select No for manual selection. The Practice Defaults folder appears. Practice Defaults folder appears on the User Preferences window Select the Open RecordNull button. The Practice Defaults window opens. Enterprise Worklog and Tasks

From the Enterprise Worklog Manager window, you can manage tasks for all practices to which you have access. The window allows you to: View tasks Modify tasks Complete tasks Delete Tasks To manage and work with tasks, select the Worklog button on the main toolbar. Managing Tasks with Enterprise Worklog Manager Just like the standard Worklog Manager, the Enterprise Worklog Manager window displays a list of tasks based on the search criteria entered. Start to Work on a Task

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Tasks > Worklog Manager or from the main toolbar select the Worklognull button. The Enterprise Worklog Manager window opens. Enter the necessary search criteria, and then select Find to display the task list. If you want to open the tasks specifically assigned to you as a user, you can select the My Tasks button on the Enterprise Worklog Manager window, or you can access them through the Tasks section of the Advisor window. Select and double-click the desired task or right-click the task, and then select Open. The Edit Task window opens for the task you want to update. Edit Task window From the Task Info tab, select the down arrow in the Status field, and then select In Progress. Note: When you do a mass update, the Task Subgrouping1 and Task Subgrouping2 fields are not required. Select the calendar button to select a start date or follow-up date. Enable Enterprise Case Management

To allow each patient case to be available to all practices within the same enterprise, you can enable Enterprise case management. Only practices within your enterprise that have management enabled will have access to a patient's case information. Ensure the following guidelines are met before you enable Enterprise case management. After the Enterprise case management preference is activated, it CANNOT be turned off. To change this preference, you will need to contact NextGen Consulting Services. If you have multiple practices, then you must Enable Case Management in Practice Preference for each practice in your enterprise that will need to access case information for a patient.
