Auto-correcting Data Maintenance Reports

The following system and data maintenance reports have "drill-down" functionality that enables you to auto-correct errors directly from the report: Charge Validation Transaction Validation History/Non-History Status Miscellaneous By double-clicking on a row, you can now correct the errors through interactive intervention as soon as the report data displays. In the past, when you had errors on the data integrity reports, you had to open a ticket with NextGen Healthcare Client Support to have the errors fixed. With auto-correct, you can "drill-down" from that line item on the report and correct the error before printing. DM Audit Log Report

The Data Maintenance Audit Log report is a report that shows you what errors were auto-corrected by the Data Integrity Miscellaneous report and/or the Data Maintenance SQL job. You can filter the report by the date the error was corrected and/or by process date. The columns are described below The Data Maintenance Audit Log report displays data recorded for all corrections from miscellaneous data integrity errors only. To access the report in NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Reports menu and select System, then select Data Maintenance, and then select DM Audit Log. From the Report Filter window, select the Info button to view the following information about the report: Logic: This report shows what errors were auto-corrected by the Data Maintenance Miscellaneous report. Filtering Info: Can be filtered by the date the error was corrected and/or by Process Date. Unassigned Benefit Info Records Reports

When the system is unable to automatically assign a practice ID to a record, that record will not display on the Benefit Info window of the Insurance Maintenance when the Universal Preference > System Level Benefit Info preference is set to False. To assign a record to your practice, you can use one of the Unassigned Benefit Info Records reports. These reports are Financial Information Records and Eligibility and Benefit Records. Both reports include a drill down function that allows you to assign the current practice to a single record or to all records on the report. Assigning records to a practice can be done from the Eligibility and Benefits Records report or the Financial Information Records report found in the reports menu under System > Data Maintenance > Unassigned Benefit Info Records. Miscellaneous Report

The Miscellaneous data maintenance report lists issues that exist with data within the database, if any. The Miscellaneous report fixes some errors automatically behind the scenes when the report is run. If the Potentially Fixed column is displaying a "Y" for one or more errors listed on the report, those errors should no longer display when the report is refreshed. Note: Before you refresh the Miscellaneous report, NextGen Healthcare recommends that the report be exported and saved to a Microsoft Excel file for future reference. Any errors listed on the report where the Potentially Fixed column display as <blank> should be submitted to NextGen Healthcare Client Support. The report must be exported and saved to a Microsoft Excel file and then attached to the ticket submitted to client support. History/Non-History Status Report

The History/Non-History Status data maintenance report lists the following types of encounters: Encounters currently in history status that should potentially be in a non-history status because they have a non-zero balance. Encounters currently in a non-history status that should potentially be in history status because they have a zero balance. Note: In versions prior to 5.9. UD1, there is a History Status report and a Non-History Status report. In version 5.9 UD1, these two reports are combined into a single History/Non-History Status report. This report should be run at least once per month. NextGen Healthcare recommends running the report multiple times throughout the month, if needed, to ensure that all errors appearing on the report are resolved before generating financial reports for month end. System Reports

The System reports category includes various reports that you can use to review and validate specific types of data stored within the database. These reports check for a variety of data conditions that may potentially cause erroneous results on other reports generated in NextGen® Enterprise PM. When each system report is run, no data or a blank report is ideal. A blank report indicates there are no data validation and maintenance issues. Note: All system reports should be run at least once per month. You should run them prior to generating your month end reports so that any data validation and maintenance issues can be identified and resolved before your monthly reports are printed.
