Copy a Template

You can copy an existing daily or weekly template when there is a need for two templates that are same or very similar. When a template is copied, all the information that is associated with the original template is copied to the new template, including time interval, categories, locations, and time slot overbooking allowances. You can then edit the new template as needed for a specific resource.

For example, a resource's schedule is the same every week, but the resource is out of the office on alternate Friday afternoon. Copy the first template and then edit the second template to block out Friday afternoons. You can apply the two templates to the resource's calendar by applying each template for alternate week.

Another example, Dr. Smith and Dr. Jones have the same schedule, but they work from different locations. Copy Dr. Smith's template and then modify the location on the second template for Dr. Jones. The two templates can then be assigned to the appropriate provider's calendar.
