Apply Weekly Templates to a Resource

You can assign a weekly template to a resource's calendar.
  1. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Admin > Scheduling Admin.
    The Scheduling Administration window opens.
  2. Select the Resources tab.
  3. From the list of resources, select the Resource to assign the templates.
  4. Select the open menu button and select Open.
    The Edit Resource window opens.

  5. In the Templates section, select Weekly Templates.
    This defines the type of templates that you can apply to the resource.
  6. Select the Templates button.
    The Assign weekly templates window opens.

  7. Use the scroll bar at the bottom of the window to display the calendar for the desired year.
  8. Select a template from the Available weekly templates section.
  9. Select the weeks on the calendar, and do one of the following to apply the template:
    • Select any day of the week to highlight that week.
    • Select the month to highlight all the weeks in that month (for example, March 2016).
    • Select the year to highlight all weeks in the year (for example, 2016).
  10. Select the Apply button.
    If the Prompt to defer sched admin changes until nightly process option is selected in the Appt Scheduling tab of the Practice Preferences window, a message appears asking if you want to update the appointment search engine.
    The selected template is applied to the selected weeks, and each week displays the template color.
  11. Repeat steps 7 through 10 to apply other weekly templates to additional weeks.
  12. Select Close to close the Assign weekly templates window.
  13. Select OK to close the Edit Resource window.
    The Scheduling Administration > Resources tab displays the Max Template Date for the resource.
