Confirm an Appointment

You can confirm an appointment from the Edit Appointment window after the patient confirms. Open the Appointment Book window. Open the appointment to be confirmed. The Edit Appointment window opens. Select the Confirmed option. Select OK to save changes and close the window. A telephone icon appears next to confirmed appointments in the Daily view tab of the Appointment Book window. Confirm Multiple Appointments

When you confirm an appointment for a patient, if the patient has multiple appointments either on the same day or in the future with other appointments, a message appears asking you to confirm all the appointments at the same time. For example, a patient with three same day appointments with the nurse, doctor, and lab, can have all three confirmed at the same time. Open the Appointment Book window. Open an appointment to be confirmed. The Edit Appointment window opens. Select the Confirmed option. Select OK to save changes and close the window. If the patient has other on the same day or future appointments, the Confirm Appointment window opens. Note: Following are the options available on the Confirm Appointment window: The Linked Appointments section displays a list of appointments that are linked to the appointment that you confirmed. Cancel Multiple Appointments

When you cancel an appointment for a patient who has multiple appointments, either on the same day or future, you can cancel all appointments at the same time if needed. For example, if a patient has three appointments on the same day, you can cancel all three at the same time. Open the Appointment Book window. Select an appointment to be canceled. Do one of the following: Right-click the appointment and select Mark as Canceled. Open an appointment and select the Cancelled option on the Edit Appointment window. Note: A window opens asking the reason for cancellation of the appointment if you select the Track Cancellation reason option in the Appt Scheduling tab of the Practice Preferences window. From the list of reasons, select the reason for canceling the appointment. Select OK to save changes and close the window. Delete Linked Appointments

When you delete an appointment for a patient, if there are multiple appointments on the same day or in the future, you can select the linked appointments from the Delete Appointment window if you want to delete them as well. Open the Appointment Book window. Select an appointment to be deleted that is also linked to other appointments. Do one of the following: Right-click the appointment and select Delete. Select the appointment and select the Delete Appt button on the Appointment Book toolbar. Open the appointment and select the Delete button on the Edit Appointment window. The Delete Appointment window opens. In the Linked Appointments section, do the following: Select the linked appointments that you want to delete. Clear the selection for the linked appointments that you do not want to delete.
