Components of the Encounters Transactions Tab

Column	Description
Created	Date of the creation of the encounter.
Svc Date	Service date.
SIM Description	SIM description.
CPT4	CPT4 code.
Qty	Quantity.
Amount	Amount of the transaction.
Type	Type of transaction.
Deductible	Deductible amount.
Credit Card/Bank Acct Info	Credit card or bank account.
Tracking Desc	Tracking description.
Transaction Notes	Notes on the transaction.
Reason	Reason for transaction.
Tooth	Identified tooth.
Surface	Information on the tooth surface.
Quadrant	Information in a tooth quadrant.
Outsource Date	Date of the balance amount outsourcing.
Outsource Agency	Name of the Outsource agency.
Units	Anesthesia units. Anesthesia units is the sum of the following units: SIM Base Units Calculated Time Units Anesthesia Modifier Units
Optical Management Order Nbr	Order number from NextGen® Optical Management.
Anesthesia Units	Anesthesia units.
Resub#	Resubmission number. This column can be enabled and reordered by right-clicking the column. It can display up to 50 characters. Note: You can also edit the Resub# field on the Payment Entry window.

View Anesthesia Units from the Patient Chart

Anesthesia units by category can be viewed for each charge on an encounter from the Transactions sub-tab on the Encounters tab of the Patient Chart. Access Patient Chart for the desired patient. Select the Encounters tab. From the list of encounters on the left, select the desired encounter. Select the Transactions sub-tab. To display a list of columns available for viewing on the Transactions sub-tab, right-click on any column heading. Columns names in the list that are included in the view display with a check mark icon. The following anesthesia units columns are available: Base Units: Displays base units defined for the anesthesia SIM code. Time Units: Displays time units calculated for the anesthesia charge. Modifier Units: Displays additional units added by modifiers or Anesthesia QC SIM codes. Total Anesthesia Units: Displays Base Units + Time Units + Modifier Units. Components of the Financial Information

The following table lists the various components displayed on the Financial tab of the patient chart and their descriptions. Column Description Date Displays the date of the encounter. Encounter Displays the encounter number. Charges Display the total amount for charges. Payments Displays the total amount for payments. Adj/Refunds Displays the amount for adjustments or refunds. Ins 1 Displays the primary insurance of the patient. Ins 2 Displays the secondary insurance of the patient. Ins 3 Displays the tertiary insurance of the patient. Self Displays if the patient is self-pay. Bad Debt Displays the amount in bad debt. Outsource Agency Displays the outsourcing agency.
