Check In Individual Appointments Created from a Group Appointment
An individual appointment which is created from a group appointment can be checked-in either by linking it to the available group encounter or by creating a new encounter for the individual member.
- To select an appointment that was scheduled as part of a group appointment, do one of the following:
- Select ApptBook on the main toolbar.
- Select ApptList on the main toolbar.
- To start the check-in auto-flow process, right-click and select Checkin/Create Encounter > Appointment.
The Available Encounters window opens.
The patient's encounter that was created from a group encounter is listed. Other same day encounters may also be listed, if applicable.
Note: The window opens regardless of the At check-in show same day encounters setting in Encounters tab of Practice Preferences. - To link the group encounter to the patient's group appointment, double-click to select the encounter.
The Encounter Maintenance window opens.
The Billable Date, Billable Time, Patient Type, Rendering and Service Location fields are populated from the details of the group encounter.
If you select an encounter that is not linked to the group encounter, or select the Cancel button, the following prompt displays: You have not selected the existing group encounter for this group appointment. Creating a new encounter that is not associated with the group could result in unused encounters and loss of group encounter functionality. Are you sure you want to continue?
Do one of the following:- To return to the Available Encounters window, select No.
- To create a new encounter that is not linked to the group encounter, select Yes.
The Encounter Maintenance window opens.
- Add and update information for the patient's encounter as needed.
- To save changes and close the window, select OK.
The first window in the check-in auto-flow process opens.
- To continue with the remainder of the check-in auto-flow process, select AutoFlow.
