Attach a Case to an Appointment
Open the
Appointment Book
window.
Right-click an appointment and select
Open
the appointment.
The
Edit Appointment
window opens.
Select the open menu
button that is located next to the
Case Description
and
Date
fields and select
Open Existing Case
.
The
Select Case
window opens.
Double-click to select the case to be attached to the appointment.
Select
OK
to save changes and close the window.

Copy an Appointment
When a patient visits the provider for an event regularly, you can create appointments for a patient by copying an existing appointment and then pasting it into one or more additional time slots. The appointment information from the copied appointment is carried over to the new appointments, and you can modify it as needed. From the Appointment Book or Appointment List window, find the appointment you want to copy. Right-click the appointment and select Copy. The copied appointment icon displays on the status bar at the bottom of the Appointment Book window. Right-click another time slot where you want to add the copied appointment and select Paste. The Edit Appointment window opens. Note: When an appointment is copied from one resource and pasted into a time slot for another resource, both resources are selected on the newly pasted appointment. Attach an Appointment to an Email
You can attach the appointment to an email and send it to the recipient asking them to complete some action. Open the Appointment Book window. Right-click the appointment and select Attach to Mail. The New Message (Containing linked data) window opens. In the Action Requested field, select one of the following: Cancel Appointment Create Appointment Delete Appointment Other Reschedule Appointment Enter additional information to be included in the email as needed. On the Properties tab set the priority for the message. Select the Read Receipt option if you want to receive a notification when the recipient reads the message. Select the Address button to select the recipients to send the email. The Address Book window opens. Select a practice from the Show Users From list. Use the arrow button to move the recipients from the Available Users and Groups list to the Message Recipients list. Select OK to save changes and close the window. Attach Cases to Appointments
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select ApptBook. Right-click an appointment, and then select Open. The Edit Appointment window opens. Select the open menu icon next to Case Description and Date, and then select Open Existing Case. The Select Case window opens. Select the case to be attached to the appointment, and then select OK. Note: In Practice Preferences > Case Management, when you clear the Allow encounter payers to differ when case is attached preference: You can attach a case to an appointment marked as Self Pay. View Existing Appointments from Add or Edit Appointment
You can view existing appointments for a patient from the Add Appointment or Edit Appointment window. Open the Add Appointment or Edit Appointment window for the patient. Select the History tab. Confirm an Appointment
You can confirm an appointment from the Edit Appointment window after the patient confirms. Open the Appointment Book window. Open the appointment to be confirmed. The Edit Appointment window opens. Select the Confirmed option. Select OK to save changes and close the window. A telephone icon appears next to confirmed appointments in the Daily view tab of the Appointment Book window.
