Option	Description
Assign Templates	Opens the Template Merge window.
View Person	Opens the Modify Patient Information window.
View History	Displays the name of the practice (under the selected row of merge candidates) where the patient records exist.
Select All	Selects all people listed in the Merge Candidates section.
Deselect All	Clears all selections in the Merge Candidates section.

Merge Duplicate Person or Patient Records

The person merge process merges or retains the information of the duplicate records based on your selections in the Person Merge window. To start the person merge process, do one of the following: In NextGen® Enterprise PM, from the File menu, select Processes > Person Merge. In File Maintenance, from the File menu, select Person Merge. A message appears for you to confirm the person merge process. Select Yes. The Person Merge window opens. Review the records to merge. Note: To view additional information for the merge candidates, right-click the patient record, and then select one of the options. Merge Demographic Templates

If your facility uses both NextGen® Enterprise PM and NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you must select which specific demographic templates from the patients' charts to keep during the merge process. When duplicate patients are merged, all medical records templates for both patients are automatically merged along with all other applicable patient data. The retained record does not include demographic information from the merged patient record. Merge Specific Duplicate Person or Patient Records

You can find specific records that you have identified for merging. The person merge process ignores the search scenario criteria and performs the merge for the specific person or patients selected. To start the person merge process, do one of the following: In NextGen® Enterprise PM, from the File menu, select Processes > Person Merge. In File Maintenance, from the File menu, select Person Merge. A message appears for you to confirm the person merge process. Select Yes. The Person Merge window opens. Select Exact People. The People Lookup - Merge Person 1 window opens. Enter the search criteria for the first person or patient to use in the merge, and then select Find.
