Add or Modify Privacy Notice Information
- Open the Patient Information window for the desired patient.
- Select the Privacy tab.
- In the field, enter the date the patient was given a privacy notice.
- Enter the date when Privacy Notice Issued to Patient.
- In the field, enter the date the patient signed and returned the privacy notice.
- Enter the date when Privacy Notice Received from Patient after the patient has signed.
- Select a Privacy Notice Reason or status for the privacy notice.
Note: Items available for selection are from the Privacy Notices master list in File Maintenance.
- Enter Privacy Notice Notes related to the patient's privacy notice, if applicable.
- To manage patient consent information, select Privacy Consent.
- To save changes and close the window, select OK.
If privacy information was added for a patient that does not yet have a chart, a message appears reminding you that the data in the Privacy tab will not be saved unless you create a chart.
- Do one of the following on the message:
- To save all information entered, including Privacy tab information, and create a chart for the patient, select Yes.
- To save all information entered, except Privacy tab information, without creating a chart for the patient, select No.
- To return to the Patient Information window, select Cancel.
