Vision Service Plan and VisionWeb Interface Setup

The Vision Service Plan (VSP) and VisionWeb interface is used for entering VisionWeb and VSP orders before implementing NextGen® Optical Management. You can contact your VisionWeb or VSP representative to purchase the interface. You can set up the interface using the Optical Management tab on the Location Information window in File Maintenance. Note: The VSP log on information is no longer used with the new VSP API integration. You can continue to access the VSP catalog and set up the lab configuration for VSP laboratories after you log on to VSP with the username and password provided by Eyefinity. Create or Modify Locations

You need to fill in some basic information such as location name, contact information, practice-affiliation, and task-specific information for location-specific billing, scheduling, and reporting requirements. From the Master Files – System list, select Locations. The Locations List window displays. Do one of the following: To add a new item, select Open Menu, and then select New. To modify an existing item, select the item in the list, select Open Menu, and then select Open. You can also double-click to open the item. The Location Defaults tab on the Location Information window displays. Enter the location information. If you want to hide the item in the list, select theHidecheck box. Select Next to add another item or select OK to return to the Locations List window. Note: If you are editing an existing item, the Next button is not an option. Web Service Configuration

The Web Service Configuration master file displays only if you have a license for the NextGen® Optical Management application. The master file lists the Web services that your practice has licensed for use with the NextGen® Optical Management application. When you license VisionWeb, for example, NextGen Healthcare adds the VisionWeb configuration to the Web Service Configuration master file. Web service configurations contain the Web addresses that each function of the service must access. Although it is possible to edit the Web address for each function by double-clicking in the Value field, you should coordinate any Web service configuration changes with NextGen Healthcare. NextGen® Optical Management Operation

Subgroup Used in Description Add/Delete Charge NextGen® Optical Management Enables users to add or delete additional SIM codes on the Billings Details window of eyeglass and contact lens orders. Delete VSP Authorization NextGen® Optical Management Enables users to delete VSP authorization for the VSP Authorization window. Order Approval NextGen® Optical Management Enables users to approve orders being forwarded to VisionWeb. Reconciliation Load to DB or Write-Off All NextGen® Optical Management Enables users to load inventory to the database and write off inventory for all of the items in the reconciliation process.
