Copy a Service Package Configuration

You can copy a Service Package Configuration to create another configuration with the same setup, and then modify the new configuration as needed. When you copy a service package configuration, the following information is copied to the new configuration: The Level of Need value. The Adult/Child indicator. All Service Unit Detail rows with their service limits and CPT4/modifier combinations. To copy a service package configuration, do the following: Open File Maintenance. Select Libraries, and then Service Package. The Service Package List window opens. From the list, double-click to open a library. The Service Package Maintenance window opens. From the list, select a service package configuration to copy and then do one of the following: Select open menu button and then select Copy. Right-click and then select Copy. Service Package Conflicts and Messages

You can create multiple Service Package Configurations within a Service Package library. However, the descriptions cannot be the same. When you add a service package with a Description that matches another, the following prompt displays: A service package by this name already exists. Please choose a new service package name. You can create multiple Service Unit Detail Configurations within a Service Package. However, the descriptions cannot be the same. When you add a service unit detail with a Description that matches another, the following prompt displays: A service package configuration by this name already exists. Please choose a new service package configuration name. You can create multiple rows for the same CPT4 code within a Service Unit Detail Configuration. Set Up Service Package Configurations

A Service Package Configuration includes general information such as defining a service package as a Standard type or an Add On type, Description, a Level of Need value and an Adult/Child indicator. Within each configuration, you can setup one or more Service Unit Details that define the specific service limitations for various CPT4 code and modifier combinations. Add a Service Package Configuration

In File Maintenance, select Libraries, and then select Service Package. The Service Package List window opens. Double-click a service package. The Service Package Maintenance window opens. To create a service package configuration, select open menu , and then select New in the Service Package Configurations section. The Add Service Package Configuration window opens. In the Type section, do one of the following: Select Standard to create a standard service package. When you create a new service package, the Standard type is selected by default. Select Add On to create an add-on service package. In the Description field, enter a free-text description for the service package configuration. This field is required. In the Level of Need field, enter a one or two-character alphanumeric value for the configuration, if applicable. In the Adult/Child section, select the Adult or Child option for the configuration. Add a Service Unit Detail

In File Maintenance, select Libraries, and then select Service Package. The Service Package List window opens. Double-click a service package. The Service Package Maintenance window opens. Double-click a service package configuration. The Service Package Configuration Maintenance window opens. To create a service unit detail row, select open menu and select New in the Service Unit Details section. In the Service Unit Configuration section, do the following: In the Description field, enter a free-text description for the service unit configuration. This field is required. In the Service Limit fields, enter a value between 1 and 9999 and then select either Units or Hours. The default value is 1 Unit. The number represents the maximum service limit for the CPT4/modifier combinations in the Service Detail Configuration section. In the Service Duration field, enter a value between 1 and 365. The number represents the maximum service days for the CPT4/modifier combinations in the Service Det

Add or Modify a Service Package Library

Open File Maintenance. Select Libraries, and then Service Package. The Service Package List window opens. Do one of the following: To create a library, select open menu button and select New. The Add Service Package window opens. To modify a library, select it from the list and then select open menu button and select Open. The Service Package Maintenance window opens. In the Description field, enter a name for the library. This field is required. Set up Service Package Configurations as needed. To save changes and close the window, select OK.
