Providers Chart Tracking Tab

Within the Providers master file, you can set up the home and drop locations for the Chart Tracking locations. The Chart Tracking tab is only available when a Chart Tracking license is installed. The information you set here becomes available on the Options tab in the Chart Tracking Preferences master file. To access the Providers master file: From the Master Files > System list, select Providers. Double-click a provider. The Modify Provider Information dialog box displays. Select the Chart Tracking tab. In the Home Location field, select a location to activate as the provider's home location. In the Default Drop Location field, select the location to be the default drop location for the provider. In the Label Count field, select the arrows to specify the correct number of labels to print with each chart request. Under Service/Drop Locations, you can establish a drop location for each service location. There can be only one drop location assigned to each service location for a provider

Set up of Chart Tracking Location

Within the Locations master file, you can set up basic defaults for the Chart Tracking locations. These fields are only available when a Chart Tracking License is installed. Open the Locations master file and select a location. The Location Information window opens. Select the Chart Tracking tab. In the Operations Schedule list, select next to the appropriate days of operation to select them. In the Chart Tracking Location field, select the home location you want to activate. You can set up all the printers to use with tracking patient charts in the Chart Tracking Preferences master file. You can also set the drop location, which determines where the chart should be delivered when a patient encounters a provider. There can be one drop location for each patient, or multiple drop locations for each patient depending upon which provider he or she encounters. In File Maintenance, select Master Files > System > Chart Tracking Preferences. The Chart Tracking Preferences window opens. Select the Options tab. In the Outguide Preferences section, use the arrows to specify the number of days for the Auto print appointments. Note: The Auto print field determines how many days in advance the outguides, or placeholders for charts, print. Setting the number of days forces an outguide to print if an appointment falls in that time frame. If the appointment does not, you must manually print the outguide. Select the Print at drop location check box to select whether you want

Chart Tracking Locations

You can set up drop and storage locations for your charts in the Chart Tracking Locations master file. These are global locations that any practice within the enterprise can access. In File Maintenance, under Master Files, select System > Chart Tracking Locations. The Chart Tracking Locations List window opens. Select on Open Menu and select New from the menu. The Chart Locations window opens. In the Name field, enter the name of the chart location. In the Location Type field, select whether this location is a storage or a drop location. Enter any necessary notes about this location in the Notes field. Do one of the following: To save this location and create another, select Next.
