Pre-Services Practice Preferences Descriptions
The following table describes the fields located on the pre-services practice preferences.
| Field | Description |

| Patient Payment % | The percentage of payment that the patient wants to make in advance. |
| Update patient insurance with copay/deductible information from cost estimation | Updates the co-pay and deductible amount in the patient insurance maintenance from cost estimation. |
| Search for Allowed Amount | |

| Displays additional information on searching allowed amount. |
| Allowed Amount Source | Determines the source location from where the allowed amount can be obtained.
You can select one of the following options:
Both is selected by default. |
| Search first by | This field is available when Both is selected as allowed amount source. Determines the sequence of allowed amount sources for searching the allowed amount.
You can select one of the following options:

| Transaction History Date | This field is available when Both or Transaction History is selected as the allowed amount source.
Specifies the date range. The system searches for the allowed amount in transactions made between the date range.

| Allowed Amount | This field is available when Both or Transaction History is selected as allowed amount source. Determines the options to calculate the allowed amount and consider for cost estimation.
You can select one of the options:

| Exclude zero dollar allowed amount from Transaction History | This field is available when Both or Transaction History is selected as the allowed amount source. Determines whether zero-dollar allowed amount must be excluded or included when obtaining the allowed amount from the transaction history. The zero-dollar allowed amount is excluded by default. |
| Search for Coinsurance | |
| Displays additional information about searching the coinsurance amount. | |
| Coinsurance Source | Determines the source location from where the coinsurance amount can be obtained.
You can select one of the following options:
All is selected by default. |
| Search By | This field is available when All is selected as coinsurance amount source.
You can select the following sources in the desired sequence for searching the coinsurance amount.

| Transaction Details Date | This field is available when All or Transaction Details is selected as the source for coinsurance amount.
Specifies the date range. The system searches for the coinsurance amount in transactions made between the date range.
