Set Up Orders Module Practice Preferences

Open File Maintenance and select System > Practices. Double-click a pratice. In the Modify Practice Information window, select Preferences and then select the Orders Module. There are several check boxes to set preferences for printing, the use of the NextGen Compendium, and other settings. There are additional preferences associated with the Orders module that can be set for your practice. Enable Case Management in Practice Preferences

You can enable Case Management in NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen® Enterprise PM. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Admin > Preferences > Practice. The Practice Preferences window opens. Configure Practice Preference for Display of Orders

You can configure the default settings for NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine orders. Open File Maintenance. In Master Files, select System > Document Management, and then select Practices. The Practices List window opens. In the Practices list, double-click a practice. The Modify Practice Information window opens. Select Preferences. The Practice Preferences window opens. In Preferences List, select Orders Module. In the Orders/Results Linking section, select the default view the orders appear in the linking window. In Order Type and Default Source, select the default source that each order type collects data from. In Adaptive Content Engine Order Status Update Upon Sign-off, select a status that is displayed for each order type when you complete a NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine order from the linking screen.
