Enterprise Preferences

You can set up the following options at the enterprise level. Assign some general NextGen® Enterprise settings. Create client-defined fields for enterprise reporting. Adjust procedural steps in the flow of your NextGen patient checkout process. Set up naming conventions for Relative Value Units (RVUs). Identify Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) fields as protected content. Access Enterprise Preferences You can open Enterprise Preferences window to help you set preferences for your practice. Enterprise Preferences - General Tab You can set the general default tab information for your practice. UDS Tab You can collect details from the UDS field to gain more information about a patient. AutoFlow Stored Procedure You can setup the flow of a procedure to be completed in Practice Preferences. Confirm the HQM API URL

The HQM API URL is the Internet Protocol (IP) address for the API that provides HQM Clinical Quality Reporting information to NextGen® Enterprise. The URL is the same for all clients. It appears in the Health Quality Measures API URL field in the External Enterprise Preferences window. If the URL is not prefilled, enter https://hqm.nextgen.com:8443/api/v1 in the field, and select OK. Configure Enterprise Preferences for HQM Clinical Quality Reporting

To configure Enterprise Preferences for HQM Clinical Quality Reporting, you must enter the HQM API Authentication Key for access to the HQM-to-EHR reporting interface. The HQM API URL (Internet address) is also required but is prefilled. You can make reporting available to all or only certain practices in the enterprise. Set group operations rights in System Administrator to control user access to HQM Clinical Quality reports. Note: In Enterprise Preferences, you can set up both Population Health Sync and Clinical Quality Reporting, but you can select only one of these reporting features at a time to view in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The settings are retained if you switch from one reporting option to the other. Disable HQM Clinical Quality Reporting

To disable HQM Clinical Quality Reporting, do the following: To switch to Population Health Sync reporting, select the Population Health Sync option under Select Reporting on the Reporting Enterprise Preferences window. The API Authentication Key, HQM API URL, and the selected practices are retained in Enterprise Preferences but are inactive. In NextGen® Enterprise, the File menu commands, Top toolbar buttons, and Patient Information Card button for generating HQM Clinical Quality reports are unavailable and are no longer operational. To return to HQM Clinical Quality Reporting, you can just select the option again under Select Reporting. On the Reporting Enterprise Preferences window, clear the API Authorization Key. To enable HQM Clinical Quality Reporting again, you must perform the initial setup, entering the API Authentication Key and selecting the practices. To disable both Clinical Quality Reporting and Population Health Sync, remove all keys for both on the Reporting Enterprise

Access Enterprise Preferences for Clinical Quality Reporting

In File Maintenance, under NextGen® Enterprise EHR System Master Files, select Enterprises. The Enterprises List window opens. Double-click the enterprise to set the preference. The Modify Enterprise Information window opens. Select Preferences. The Enterprise Preferences window opens. In the Preference List, select Reporting. Under Select Reporting, select the Clinical Quality Reporting option, if it is not already selected. The Reporting option selected in this window is retained by default. If Reporting option is not selected, then Clinical Quality Reporting option is the default. When you select Clinical Quality Reporting, the Clinical Quality Reporting Settings appear. To complete the initial setup of HQM Clinical Quality Reporting, you must enter the API Authentication Key and select Practices. If you previously entered this information, it is displayed. Enter the API Authentication Key

The API Authentication Key is a specific digital code that authenticates access to the interface that provides HQM Clinical Quality Reporting information to NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You must select the Show Clinical Quality Reporting check box before you can enter the key on the Enterprise Preferences window. To obtain the API Authentication Key, contact your HQM Support team. The key may be sent to you by email or instant messaging. Copy the key provided by HQM Support, and paste it in the API Authentication Key box. Do not show key.
