Enter the API Authentication Key

The API Authentication Key is a specific digital code that authenticates access to the interface that provides HQM Clinical Quality Reporting information to NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You must select the Show Clinical Quality Reporting check box before you can enter the key on the Enterprise Preferences window. To obtain the API Authentication Key, contact your HQM Support team. The key may be sent to you by email or instant messaging. Copy the key provided by HQM Support, and paste it in the API Authentication Key box. Do not show key. Access Enterprise Preferences for Clinical Quality Reporting

In File Maintenance, under NextGen® Enterprise EHR System Master Files, select Enterprises. The Enterprises List window opens. Double-click the enterprise to set the preference. The Modify Enterprise Information window opens. Select Preferences. The Enterprise Preferences window opens. In the Preference List, select Reporting. Under Select Reporting, select the Clinical Quality Reporting option, if it is not already selected. The Reporting option selected in this window is retained by default. If Reporting option is not selected, then Clinical Quality Reporting option is the default. When you select Clinical Quality Reporting, the Clinical Quality Reporting Settings appear. To complete the initial setup of HQM Clinical Quality Reporting, you must enter the API Authentication Key and select Practices. If you previously entered this information, it is displayed. Disable HQM Clinical Quality Reporting

To disable HQM Clinical Quality Reporting, do the following: To switch to Population Health Sync reporting, select the Population Health Sync option under Select Reporting on the Reporting Enterprise Preferences window. The API Authentication Key, HQM API URL, and the selected practices are retained in Enterprise Preferences but are inactive. In NextGen® Enterprise, the File menu commands, Top toolbar buttons, and Patient Information Card button for generating HQM Clinical Quality reports are unavailable and are no longer operational. To return to HQM Clinical Quality Reporting, you can just select the option again under Select Reporting. On the Reporting Enterprise Preferences window, clear the API Authorization Key. To enable HQM Clinical Quality Reporting again, you must perform the initial setup, entering the API Authentication Key and selecting the practices. To disable both Clinical Quality Reporting and Population Health Sync, remove all keys for both on the Reporting Enterprise

Select the Practices to View HQM Reports

Specify which practices should participate in HQM Clinical Quality Reporting. You can select the practices directly in Enterprise Preferences without setting any additional Practice Preferences. In the Reporting Enterprise Preferences window, select the Practices folder icon. The Practice Selection window opens, displaying all available practices in the enterprise. To select the practices from the Available section, do the following: To find a particular practice in the list, enter the first letter of the practice name in the text box beneath the Available section heading. The matching practice appears at the top of the list. To select a single practice, select it, and then select the single right arrow. To select all practices, select the double-right arrow. To select multiple practices in the list, select the Ctrl key as you select each practice. Then select the single right arrow. The selected practices are moved to the Included section. Configure Enterprise Preferences for HQM Clinical Quality Reporting

To configure Enterprise Preferences for HQM Clinical Quality Reporting, you must enter the HQM API Authentication Key for access to the HQM-to-EHR reporting interface. The HQM API URL (Internet address) is also required but is prefilled. You can make reporting available to all or only certain practices in the enterprise. Set group operations rights in System Administrator to control user access to HQM Clinical Quality reports. Note: In Enterprise Preferences, you can set up both Population Health Sync and Clinical Quality Reporting, but you can select only one of these reporting features at a time to view in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The settings are retained if you switch from one reporting option to the other. External Tab - Enterprise Preferences

Use the External tab to allow the consent policy of an external system to be saved. A list of external systems that interface with the NextGen Healthcare applications are listed on this tab. Only one consent policy is allowed for each practice or external system. An error message indicating multiple consent policies were found displays if more than one consent policy is discovered. Immunization Query Web Service URL: The URL allows the Registry Query operations to be performed which is related to Immunizations Data Reconciliation. The registry query must first be setup in the System Administrator application for users to do a query of the registry. Health Quality Measures API URL: The HQM API URL is the Internet Protocol (IP) address for the API that provides HQM Clinical Quality Reporting information to NextGen® Enterprise EHR. If the URL is not pre-populated, type https://hqm.nextgen.com:8443/api/v1 in the field, and select OK. Note: The URL is same for all clients. Parent topic: Ent
