Fields	Description
External ID	Lists the IDs assigned to the external systems.
External System	Lists the external systems that interface with the application.
Creator	Displays the names of the users who created the entry.
Create Date	Displays the dates the entries were created.

Add External Systems for Code Tables

Open File Maintenance, select Code Tables. Select a code table from the Code Table list, and then double-click a code. The Modify [Code Table] Information window opens. To add or modify external systems for code tables, from the External tab, do one of the following: To open the Add External Interface window and add an item, select open menu , and then select New. To open the Modify External Interface window and modify an item, select the item in the list, select open menu , and then select Open. In External ID, enter the ID that represents the resource in the external system. In External System, select the system to interface with NextGen Healthcare applications. To save your changes and add another external system, select Next. Note: When modifying an existing system, the Next button is unavailable. Select OK. Parent topic: External Systems for Code Tables

External Tab for Location Information

The External tab allows you to add external systems that interface with the NextGen application and to associate them with a Location. Code Tables

NextGen® Enterprise PM uses enterprise-wide code tables. Code tables are lists of codes and their descriptions that are required for billing and reporting purposes, such as allergy severity, claim types, race category, and sexes. The data in these tables is set up when your server is staged. For example, the Claim Types code table lists the codes that are required for different payers, such as Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Workers' Compensation. Code Table Descriptions You can know the functions of the code tables through their descriptions. Enable Facility Billing for Places of Service You can enable facility billing for a place of service using the Place of Service code table in the Code Tables section of File Maintenance. External Systems for Code Tables You can add external systems that interface with the NextGen Healthcare applications and associate them with a code table.

Add External Systems for Users

In the user details, the External tab enables you to add external systems that interface with NextGen® Enterprise applications and to associate those systems with the selected user. The External tab displays the following columns: Column Description External System Lists the external systems that were selected for the External System field when new external systems were added. These external systems interface with the NextGen application. External System ID Lists the IDs assigned to the external systems. External Record ID Lists the data entered for the External ID field when new external systems were added. Internal Record ID Lists the internal ID automatically assigned to the external ID.
