External Systems for Code Tables
The External tab has the following components: Fields Description External ID Lists the IDs assigned to the external systems. External System Lists the external systems that interface with the application. Creator Displays the names of the users who created the entry. Create Date Displays the dates the entries were created. Add or Modify External Interface on the External Tab
From the External tab, do one of the following: To add a new item, select the open menu button, and then select New. To modify an existing item, select the item in the list, select the open menu button, and then select Open. The Add External Interface window opens. In the External ID field, enter the ID that represents the resource in the external system. In the External System field, select the system to interface with the NextGen application. Do one of the following: To save changes and add another external system, select Next. To save changes and close the window, select OK. Add External Systems for Employers
The External tab allows you to add external systems that interface with the NextGen® Enterprise application and to associate those systems with an employer. From the External tab, do one of the following: To add a new item, select open menu , and then select New. To modify an existing item, select the item in the list, select open menu , and then select Open. The Add External Interface window opens. In the External ID field, enter the ID that represents the resource in the external system. In the External System field, select the system to interface with the NextGen® Enterprise application. Do one of the following: To save changes and add another external system, select Next. To save changes and close the window, select OK. Add or Modify External Systems for Master List Items
You can use the External tab to define a cross-reference for the master list item in NextGen® Enterprise to the ID for the item in the external system. Open File Maintenance, and select Master Lists. In Master List, select a master list table. The items within the master list appear. Double-click a master list item. The Modify [Master List] Information window opens. To add or modify external systems for master lists, from the External tab, do one of the following: To open the Add External Interface window and add an item, select open menu , and then select New. To open the Modify External Interface window and modify an item, select the item in the list, select open menu , and then select Open. Providers External Tab
The External tab allows you to add external systems that interface with the NextGen application and to associate them with a Provider. The External tab displays the following columns: Column Description External ID Lists the ID assigned to the external systems. External System Lists the external system that interfaces with the application. Creator Displays the name of the user who created the entry. Create Date Displays the date that the entry was created. Code Tables

Select a code table from the
Code Table
list, and then double-click a code.
The
Modify [Code Table] Information
window opens.
To add or modify external systems for code tables, from the
