Data Field Formats

The following table explains the available data field format options for the data fields that have multiple formatting options:

Appointment Information
 Appointment ResourceThis data field displays the resource name, if there is one attached to the appointment. However, if more than one resource is attached to the appointment, then the terminology Multiple Resources prints on the form or label (all of the resources attached to the appointment do not print). In addition, the appointment resource information will print only when you print a form or label using one of the following access paths:

Appt Book toolbar button > Highlight the applicable appointment > Right-click > Print > Select Forms… or Labels…

Appt List toolbar button > Enter the applicable search criteria > Find button > Select the applicable appointments > Right-click > Print > Select Forms… or Labels…

Appointment/Encounter Information
 Location NameThis data field displays either appointment location information or the encounter location information.

When you print a form or label from the Appointment Book or Appointment List the data field displays appointment location information.

When you print a form or label from the Encounter Lookup or the patient’s chart, Encounter/General tab the data field displays encounter location information.

Charges
 *Chrg1 through Chrg6 AmountThis data field displays the Charge Amount with a dollar sign preceding the dollar value and a decimal separating the dollar value from the cents for example, $5000.02).
 *Chrg1 through Chrg6 Amount ($$$$ cc)This data field displays the Charge Amount without the preceding dollar sign and a space separating the dollar value from the cents for example, 5000 02).
 *Chrg1 through Chrg6 Date of ServiceThis data field displays dates with alpha and numeric characters for the month, day, and the year (for example, May 22, 2006).
 *Chrg1 through Chrg6 Date of Service(mmd…This data field displays dates numerically without separators between the month, day, and year (for example, 052206). This type of entry is indicated by the characters mmddyy.
Patient Information
 *Birth DateThis data field displays dates with alpha and numeric characters for the month, day, and the year for example, May 22, 2006).
 *Birth Date(mmddyy)This data field displays dates numerically without separators between the month, day, and year for example, 052206). This type of entry is indicated by the characters mmddyy.
 *Patient Med Red #(Leading Zeros)This data field displays the medical record for the patient’s chart with leading zeros. The maximum number of characters that will display and print for a medical record with leading zeros is nine (9).
System Information
 *System DateThis data field displays the system date with forward slash separators between the numeric characters for the month, day, and the year for example, 05/22/06).
 *System Date(mmddyy)This data field displays the system date numerically without separators between the month, day, and year for example, 052206). This type of entry is indicated by the characters mmddyy.
