Preference	Description
Office Holidays	You can set up any date as an office holiday. These dates can include national holidays like Thanksgiving and Fourth of July as well as practice-specific dates when the office is not open for business.
Printer Setup	Set up available printers and locations with this preference. Note: Before you can complete the setup for home locations, first set up the home locations and the printers.
Options	The options you can set up here are: Outguide printing Default Home location Home Location Source Specify printing at a drop location

Set Up Chart Tracking Reports

The Chart Tracking Reports master file is a list of reports to print. The outguide is a physical placeholder that replaces a chart when the chart is pulled from a file shelf. In File Maintenance, select Master Files > System > Chart Tracking Reports. The Chart Tracking Reports List window opens. Select on Open Menu and select New from the menu. The Tracking Reports window opens. In the Report Name field, enter the name of the report. In the Report Type field, select the type of report that this is. This report type is based on stored procedures. To the right of the Report File field, select Open Menu and then select the appropriate report file from the Select File window. Select OK. Enter any necessary notes about this report in the Notes field. Do one of the following: To save this report and specify another, select Next. To save this report and close the dialog box, select OK. Chart Tracking Locations

You can set up drop and storage locations for your charts in the Chart Tracking Locations master file. These are global locations that any practice within the enterprise can access. In File Maintenance, under Master Files, select System > Chart Tracking Locations. The Chart Tracking Locations List window opens. Select on Open Menu and select New from the menu. The Chart Locations window opens. In the Name field, enter the name of the chart location. In the Location Type field, select whether this location is a storage or a drop location. Enter any necessary notes about this location in the Notes field. Do one of the following: To save this location and create another, select Next. Set Up Chart Tracking Printer

You can set up all the printers used with tracking patient charts in the Chart Tracking Preferences master file. Associate a home location with each printer. In File Maintenance, under Master Files, select System > Chart Tracking Preferences. The Chart Tracking Preferences window opens. Select the Printer Setup tab. Do one of the following: To add a new item, select Open Menu , then select New. To modify an item, select the item in the list, select Open Menu , then select Open. The Printer Setup window opens. In the Home Location field, select the home location, for example, the specific location in the office for the printer. Note: Each location can have only one default printer. In the Available Printers field, select the correct printer. In the Print Type field, select the print type to assign to the selected printer. Select Next to add another item or select OK to return to the Office Holidays tab. Note: If you are editing an existing holiday, the Next button does not display. Afte

Chart Tracking Office Holidays

You can designate specific days that your practice is closed for business. In File Maintenance, under Master Files, select System > Chart Tracking Preferences. The Chart Tracking Preferences window opens. Select the Office Holidays tab. Do one of the following: To add a new item, select Open Menu , and then select New. To modify an item, select the item in the list, select Open Menu , and then select Open. The Office Holidays window opens. In the Name field, enter the name of the holiday, for example, Thanksgiving. In the Date field you can either enter the date or select the Calendar button and then select the date. Select Next to add another item or select OK to return to the Office Holidays tab. Note: If you are editing an existing holiday, the Next button does not display. If you want to delete a holiday, right-click a holiday in the Holiday list, and then select Delete. Set Up Chart Tracking Preference Options

You can set up all the printers to use with tracking patient charts in the Chart Tracking Preferences master file. You can also set the drop location, which determines where the chart should be delivered when a patient encounters a provider. There can be one drop location for each patient, or multiple drop locations for each patient depending upon which provider he or she encounters. In File Maintenance, select Master Files > System > Chart Tracking Preferences. The Chart Tracking Preferences window opens. Select the Options tab. In the Outguide Preferences section, use the arrows to specify the number of days for the Auto print appointments. Note: The Auto print field determines how many days in advance the outguides, or placeholders for charts, print. Setting the number of days forces an outguide to print if an appointment falls in that time frame. If the appointment does not, you must manually print the outguide. Select the Print at drop location check box to select whether you want

Set up of Chart Tracking Location

Within the Locations master file, you can set up basic defaults for the Chart Tracking locations. These fields are only available when a Chart Tracking License is installed. Open the Locations master file and select a location. The Location Information window opens. Select the Chart Tracking tab. In the Operations Schedule list, select next to the appropriate days of operation to select them. In the Chart Tracking Location field, select the home location you want to activate. Note: These options are set up in the Chart Home Location master list. To save your chart tracking location and operations settings, select OK. Parent topic: Create or Modify Locations
