Appointment Search/Waitlist Field Descriptions

You can use this table when setting your Appointment Search/Wait List defaults.

Field	Description
Find Next 'X' Appts	Use the spinner box to increase or decrease the value for the default number of appointments NextGen® Enterprise PM searches through and displays.
Day of Week	You can select the day of the week to use as the default, or primary, day of the week NextGen® Enterprise PM searches for an appointment. You can also select the No Preference option which displays the first day available.
Default appointments to return "X" in search ahead	Use the up and down arrows to set the default value for the number of appointments that you want returned when using the Appointment Search Ahead window to look for appointments. The default value, which defaults to 5, can be set to a value of 5 through 25. Once this value is set, it displays in the Find next "X" Appts field on the Appointment Search Ahead window.
Display resources before classes in search ahead	Select this check box to display resources before classes in the Resources/Class list on the Appointment Search Ahead window. By default the classes display before the resources.
Display event chains before events in search ahead	Select this check box to display event chains before events in the Event drop-down list on the Appointment Search Ahead window. By default the events display before the event chains.
Only show event/chains for appointment when coming from search ahead	Select this option to increase appointment scheduling speed only for appointments created using the application's Search Ahead feature. The increased speed is achieved by restricting the events and event chains, that the application must load and display on the Add Appointments window, to the event or event chain selected for the Appointment Search Ahead.
Default end date to XX from today	Select a default end date for any appointment searches from the following: No End Date One Week Two Weeks One Month Two Months Three Months Six Months One Year
Suspend Appointment Search from Waitlist	Select this option to prevent NextGen® Enterprise PM from automatically searching for appointment slots based on this Waitlist item as soon as the user selects OK.
