Adjust Report Headers and Footers
- Do one of the following:
- On the Report toolbar, select Customize Header/Footer .
- Right-click on the Report display, and then select Headers and Footers.
- If the Report Filter is open, select Head/Foot.
- The Customize Report Header/Footer window opens.
- Select the options that you want to include in the header, footer, and addendum.
- To the right of each option you select, set whether you want that option to display on the left, center, or right side of the report header and footer.
- The following Header Options are available to choose:
- Main Title: The first line of the title and displays across the top of the report page. The system will provide a default title but you can change it.
- Report Title: The second line of the title. The system will provide a default title but you can change it. On some reports, it clarifies the report being run. On other reports, it could be the date filter for the report. Changing this field affects the date range of the report on memorized reports.
Note: When you preview reports in portrait layout that have very lengthy report titles and subtitles, they could be truncated.
- Sub Title: Clarifies the report being run. The date range for the report usually is the default but you can change it.
- Date Prepared: Select the format for the date and time that the report was run. You can select either the date or time format in each field, so that you can enter the date first ( 10/14/08 2:52 PM) or the time first ( 2:52 PM 10/14/08).
Note: Select the format in these fields, not the actual date and time.
- Page Number: To include the page number in the header, select this option, and then select the format. For example, Page 1 of 5 or Page 1.
- Practice Title: Includes the current practice name.
- Practice Logo: Includes the practice logo on the report.
- Print Header on All Pages: Select to Include the header on each page of the report. If this option is not selected, the header prints only on the first page.
- The following Footer Options are available to choose:
- Free Form Text: This free form text field is for any text you want to display in the footer of the report.
- Date Prepared: Select the format for the date and time that the report was run. You can select either the date or time format in each field, so that you can enter the date first ( 10/14/08 2:52 PM) or the time first ( 2:52 PM 10/14/08) .
- Page Number: To include the page number in the footer, select this option, and then select the format. For example, Page 1 of 5 or Page 1.
- Print Footer on All Pages: Select to include the footer on each page of the report. If this option is not selected, the footer prints only on the first page
- The following Addendum Option is available to choose:
- Line 1-5: Select the line, and then type any additional information that you want to display in the addendum. The addendum displays at the end of the last page of the report. You can add up to five lines and you can set each line to have its own left, center, or right orientation on the page.
Note: When you select a line, the box displays the text associated with that line. If not text has been entered, the box is blank.

- The following Miscellaneous Optionis available to choose:
- Report Filter Definitions: Select this option to display the report's filter definitions at the end of the report. By having the filter options printed on the report, you can quickly reference which filter options produced the report.
