Set the Order of Processing NextGen® Enterprise EHR and HL7 Charges Coming to NextGen Enterprise PM

By setting code range sequencing rules, you can determine the processing order of incoming NextGen® Enterprise EHR and external (HL7) charges in the holding tank. When NextGen® Enterprise PM processes these incoming holding tank charges, it checks each charge’s CPT4 code and references the sequencing rules to determine the order of the charges. The code ranges control the sequence of charges in the Process Pending Charges window in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The sequencing flows through to the HCFA claim and improves reimbursement. NextGen® Enterprise EHR charges are sorted first by encounter number and then by sequence rules. Charges from an interface are processed in the order defined by the sequencing rules when you accept the charges.them.
