You must remove the association of Letter Types to change their correspondence language.
In the
Correspondence Language Letter Association
window, clear the check box next to the
Letter Name
, and then select
OK
.
The associations are removed.

Associate a Letter Type with Multiple Letter Types
You can associate a letter type with multiple letter types that are tagged to different correspondence languages for previewing and printing the letter types in different languages. Note: You must unhide the hidden letter types to associate them with other letters. Open File Maintenance. Select Master Files > Practice, and then select Letters. The Letters window opens. To associate a letter in the Default language of English to a letter in a different language, select the letter in the default language, right-click and then select Associate. The Correspondence Language Letter Association window opens and displays a list of letters available for association. Note: You can associate only the letter that is tagged to the default correspondence language (English). Select one or more letters to associate to the letter in the default language and then select OK. You can preview and print the letters in the associated foreign languages. You cannot associate a letter with other letters tagged

Associating Letter Types
The default language for all letters is English. In the Language column of the Letters window, Default displays as the associated language. You can print or preview letters in multiple languages by associating a letter type that is tagged to the default correspondence language (English) with letter types that are tagged to other correspondence languages. The Budget Missed Payment Letter is associated to the Default correspondence language (English) The Budget Missed Payment 1 letter is associated to French. On the Correspondence Language Letter Association window, you can associate the Budget Missed Payment Letter (default) to the Budget Missed Payment 1 (French) letter. This enables you to preview and print both letters in English and French. For more information about letter associations, refer to Tagging a Correspondence Language. Associate a Default Letter Type to a Language
Before you begin Compose a letter in one or more of the supported correspondence languages. Open File Maintenance. From the Master Files section, select Practice, and then select Letters.The Letters window opens. Each selected letter type, written in a supported correspondence language, displays with a check mark Null in the Language column. Delete a Letter Type
You can delete letters from the list of letter types you have created. In File Maintenance, select Master Files > Practice > Letters. The Letters window opens. Select Edit > Letter Types. The Letter Types window opens. Select the letter type, and then select Delete. A message appears requesting you to confirm the deletion Select Yes to confirm. A message appears stating the Letter Type was updated successfully. Select OK. The selected letter type is deleted. Parent topic: Letters
