Importing and Exporting Practice Configuration Settings

You can import and export the practice configuration settings for the Patient Information Card (PIC), Quick Buttons, and Encounter History in File Maintenance, thereby eliminating the effort to create configuration settings for each practice thereby, eliminating the effort to rebuild configurations in the production environment after the upgrade.

  1. Open File Maintenance.
  2. Under Master Files, select EHR, and then select Application Appearance.
    The EHR Application Appearance window opens displaying the preview of the Patient Information Card (PIC), Quick Buttons, Encounters, and Categories for the Default configuration.
  3. Select Import/Export.
    The Import/Export EHR Application Configuration window opens displaying the available configuration settings in the Export tab.
  4. To export the configurations to a desired location, do the following:
    1. Select the checkbox for corresponding configuration, and select Export.
      The Save As window opens.
    2. Choose a location where you want to save the configuration, and enter a name for the file.
  5. To import the configurations to File Maintenance from a desired location, do the following:
    1. Select the Import tab.
      The Open window opens.
    2. Open the folder where the file is located.
    3. Select the file that you want to import, and then select Open.
      The configuration setting is imported into File Maintenance.
    4. To clear the log generated during the import process, select Clear Log.
