On the Charges tab, you can enter additional charges for a specific lens style and material combination. The Materials and Styles tabs on the Lens Maintenance master list must be set up before you set up the Charges tab. Data from these tabs populate the Lens (Style\Material) list on the order form.
- On the Charges tab, do one of the following:
- To add a new item, select open menu
and select New.
- To modify an item, double-click the item to open.
The
Lens Charges window opens.
- In the Additional Prices section, complete the fields based on your selection:
- The Base Price automatically populates each field based on the amount you entered as the base fee per lens in the SIM library.
- The Service Item # verifies that the correct SIM code was entered after you selected a Price Type of Auto. To change the SIM code, select the question mark
symbol in the Service Item # field and select another SIM code.
Note: The Service Item # field is only accessible with a Price Type of Auto.
- In Price Type, select either Manual or Auto.
- If you select Auto, then select the question mark symbol in the Service Item # field to open the SIM Code Search window. Enter the SIM code that corresponds to the lens and select OK. The Add Price field is automatically populated based on the SIM code.
- If you select Manual, enter the amount Add Price in the field.
- In Add Price, enter the additional fee for the lens style-material combination for a Price Type of Manual, if applicable.
- Total Price is the sum of Base Price and the Add Price that is automatically added together for the total price per lens.
- Complete the following fields, and in the Add Price column, enter an amount based on your selection:
- In Lens Style, select a lens style.
- In Lens Material, select a lens material.
- In Lens - Material Price, enter additional charges based on lens material, if applicable. The Add Price amount is added to the material SIM.
- In Lens - Style Price, enter the additional charges based on lens style, if applicable. The Add Price amount is added to the Rx SIM.
- In Prism Price (if used), enter additional charges based on prism, if applicable.
- In Segment Width Price (if 28+), enter additional charges if the segment size is equal to or greater than 28.
- In Segment Power Price (if 3.25+), enter the additional charges if the segment power is equal to or greater than 3.25.
- Select Taxable check box to indicate that this item is taxable.
- In Exclude Lens Style SIM from Style Base Price, select a check box based on your SIM code exclusion:
- Exclude all but first SIM code
- Exclude all SIM codes
- To hide an item in the list, select Hide.
- Select Next to add another item or select OK to return to the Charges list.
