Add or Modify Additional Lens Charges

You can set up additional charges based on the strength of the lens prescription. Additional fees are set up for a diopter greater than a specified setting for add, cylinder, sphere, and prism. On the Additional Lens Charges tab, do one of the following: To add a new item, select the open menu button and select New. To modify an item, double-click the item to open it. The Additional Charges window opens. On Additional charges complete the fields based on your selection: In Measurement, select one of the following parts of a prescription Add Cylinder Prism Sphere In Diopter (>=), enter the lowest power for the measurement you selected. In Price Type, select either Manual or Auto. If you select Auto, the SIM Code Search window opens. Enter the SIM code that corresponds with the measurement, select it, and select OK. The Additional Price field is automatically populated based on the SIM code. In SIM Code, verify that the correct SIM code was entered after you selected a Price Type as Auto

Add or Modify Lens Charges

On the Charges tab, you can enter additional charges for a specific lens style and material combination. The Materials and Styles tabs on the Lens Maintenance master list must be set up before you set up the Charges tab. Data from these tabs populate the Lens (Style\Material) list on the order form. On the Charges tab, do one of the following: To add a new item, select open menu and select New. To modify an item, double-click the item to open. The Lens Charges window opens. In the Additional Prices section, complete the fields based on your selection: The Base Price automatically populates each field based on the amount you entered as the base fee per lens in the SIM library. The Service Item # verifies that the correct SIM code was entered after you selected a Price Type of Auto. To change the SIM code, select the question mark symbol in the Service Item # field and select another SIM code. Note: The Service Item # field is only accessible with a Price Type of Auto. Add or Modify Balance Lens Charges

You can indicate whether your practice charges the same price as the original prescription lens for a balance lens. If you indicate that the price differs from the prescription lens, specify the discount percentage or amount that applies to the balance lens. Configure the fields on the Balance Lens tab: If you want to set the original price as the price for the balance lens, select the Same price as Rx check box corresponding to the lens type. If you want to Indicate a price difference, select Amount or Percent and enter the value in the Price list. Select Set to save the updates. Add or Modify a Lens Shape

Use the Lens Shapes tab to set up shapes of lenses your practice offers. Lens shapes come pre-loaded with the system. Lens shapes are used with the VSP interface. On the Lens Shapes tab, do one of the following: To add a new item, select Open Menu and select New. To modify an item, select the item in the list, select Open Menu, and then select Open or double-click the style. The Lens Shapes window opens. In Description (required), enter a description for the edge shape. To use this edge style for only VSP orders, select For use on VSP orders only. To add more detail, select Note and add your comments. To hide an item in the list, select Hide. On the External tab, select open menu and select New.The Add External Interface window opens. In External System, select VSP as an external provider. In External Description, select a description for the system and select OK. You can create a list of edge styles that you can apply to eyeglass orders. Edge styles come pre-loaded with the system. On the Edge Styles tab, do one of the following: To add a new item, select Open Menu and select New. To modify an item, double-click the item to open. The Edge Style window opens. In Description, enter a description for the edge style. In SIM Code, select the question mark symbol to search for and select a code or description associated with the lens material, and select OK. To indicate whether this item is taxable, select Taxable. To use this edge style for only VSP orders, select For use on VSP orders only. To add more detail, select Note and add your comments. To hide an item in the list, select Hide. On the External tab, select open menu and select New.The Add External Interface window opens. Add or Modify a VSP Style Option

The VSP Style Options tab is visible only if you have a valid license for VSP. You can set up style options for the lens style that you can apply to eyeglass orders. This list is displayed in the VSP Style Option field on the eyeglass order form. You cannot add, modify, or delete items from the list, which is updated with the VSP catalog download process automatically.VSP Style Options are separated by lens type (Single, Bifocal, Trifocal, or Progressive) so that you can assign different pricing options to SIM codes. On the VSP Style Options tab, do one of the following: To add a new item, select Open Menu and select New. To modify an item, double-click the item to open. The VSP Style Options window opens. In Description, enter a description for the VSP style. In Service Item, select the question mark symbol to search for and select a SIM code or group or a description associated with the lens style, and select OK. To include only one SIM for the eyeglass order, select One-line Charge.
