Alert Tasks

Task Icon	Task Name	Description
	Refresh	Updates the Alerts table. Note that the Alerts view automatically refreshes at an interval defined in the Administrator Settings.
	New Alert	Creates an alert and enters the Edit Alert View.
	Import Alert	Imports an alert from an XML file on disk.
	Export All Alerts	Exports all alerts to separate XML files on disk.
	Export Alert	Exports a single alert to an XML file on disk.
	Delete Alert	Removes the alert from the server.
	Edit Alert	Enters the Edit Alert View for the selected alert.
	Enable Alert	Activates the alert so that it will begin receiving and acting upon events.
	Disable Alert	Deactivates the alert so that it stops receiving and acting upon events.
	Clear Trigger Count	Sets the alert's trigger count back to 0. This can be used for monitoring purposes to signify that someone has reviewed any recent triggers by the alert.
	Return To Normal	Sets the alert's escalation level back to Normal. This can be used for monitoring purposes to signify that someone has reviewed any recent triggers by the alert.

Alerts Table

The Alerts table shows the current status and action counters for all your configured alerts. The Alerts table is the main section of the Alerts View that shows the current status and action counters for all your configured alerts. Image of the Alerts table. Column Description A Status Indicates whether the alert is enabled or disabled. B Name The name of the alert. C Id The unique ID for the alert. D Triggered The trigger count for the alert. This is the number of times the condition for the alert has been satisfied, but not necessarily how many alerts have been sent out. If you have multiple actions set on an alert, it may trigger once but send out multiple alerts. This number can be cleared out by using the Clear Trigger Count task. E Alerted For enabled alerts, the number of times the alert has taken action (e.g. sent an email) since it was last enabled. F Current Level The current escalation level for the alert. Overview of the Alerts View

The Alerts view serves as a dashboard where you can view your currently configured alerts. The Alerts view serves as a dashboard for your currently configured alerts. You can view which ones are enabled and how many times an alert has triggered since it was last enabled. Image of the Alerts view With Advanced Alerting installed, you can also view an alerts trigger count, its current escalation level, and the last time the escalation level was changed. There is also a log on the bottom portion of the view that contains information about each time an alert was sent out. Alerts Table The Alerts table shows the current status and action counters for all your configured alerts. Alerts Log The alerts log pane records information about each time an alert is sent out. Alert Tasks The Alert Tasks pane includes a list of context-specific actions that you can perform for an alert.

Channel Tasks

The following context-specific tasks for channels are available from the Channels View: Task Icon Task Name Description Refresh Updates the channel table. Redeploy All Undeploys all channels, then deploys all currently enabled channels. Debug Channel Displays the Debug Channel dialog that allows you to deploy the currently selected channel while debugging specific scripts within the channel. Deploy Channel Deploys the currently selected channel(s). If a group is selected, deploys all channels underneath that group. Note that the Channel Dependencies workflow may apply to this task.
