This Practice Does Not Require ROS

The This practice does not require ROS check box controls whether a user is required to enter information on Review of Systems for all visit types on the Intake template. If the check box is selected, ROS is not required, users are able to sign off on the Intake template. If the check box is not selected, ROS is required, and users will be alerted if trying to sign off on the Intake template without completing a Review of Systems for the patient. Note: ROS is currently needed for the system to calculate the suggested E&M code for a Billable Visit. After 1/1/2021, it will only be needed to calculate E&M for consult visits as they will continue to follow 97 guidelines. Parent topic: Global Settings

Add Diagnoses Using IMO

Users commonly enter diagnoses with the IMO functionality, due to the complexity of a polytrauma case. If the practice does not have IMO licensing, you can add diagnoses manually. In the Assessment and Plan panel, click Problem IT below the appropriate body area, to launch the IMO ProcedureIT Search template to add assessments. Diagnosis Section

You can configure whether certain diagnosis-related fields appear and how the fields behave. Diagnosis section of the Practice Config template Configure the Ordering Diagnosis by Visit Set You can use a visit set as criteria when you configure whether the therapist must review the ordering diagnosis or add an ordering diagnosis for charge submission. Add an Ordering Diagnosis

You can add additional diagnoses using the Common Assessments pages. Note: If your practice is licensed for Problem Intelligent Medical Objects (IMO) functionality, select the Problem (IT) PLUS IMO button under the grid to open IMO to add assessments. The IMO button is initially set up in the Practice Configuration practice template. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Configuration Guide for NextGen® Therapy Suite. Select the Add button below the Ordering Diagnosis grid. The Inf Common Assessment window opens. To select the applicable diagnosis codes page, select the Common Assessments field. The Inf Common Assess Dbpl window opens. Add a Treating Diagnosis

You can add additional treating diagnosis using IMO or Common assessment templates. The following steps describe adding treating diagnosis codes using the Common Assessments templates. Note: If your practice is licensed for Problem Intelligent Medical Objects (IMO) functionality, select the Problem IT button under the grid to open IMO to add assessments. Select Add. The Inf Common Assessment window opens. Select the Common Assessments field to select the diagnosis codes page you want to use, and then select OK. The selected page opens. Headers and categories are in bold font. Items showing a code pull directly to the history. Items with a plus sign open picklists to select a more specific diagnosis code. Inf Common Assessment template Select one or more diagnosis codes. The codes you select appear in the Treating grid at the lower left. Select Save & Close.
