CONFIRM Function

Use: Displays a window with a user-defined confirmation message and Yes and No buttons. Syntax: CONFIRM( «string» , «caption», «icon», «condition»)} Arguments: «string» Message that prompts the user to click Yes or No«caption» Title of the window«icon» Icon to appear in front of the message: WARNING = ! IFELSE Function

Use: Returns a true or false value based on the condition passed to the function Syntax: {IFELSE( «condition» , «true», «false»)} Arguments: «condition» Condition to determine if the function returns a true or false value«true» The true value«false» The false value Note: You can use ASSIGN, CONFIRM, INPUTBOX, and PICKARRAY function parameters for the true/false values. To ensure that these values are correctly assigned, insert the SUBF$ function. OREQUAL Function

Use: Compares multiple fields or variables to a specified value to determine if any of their values are equal. This function uses OR logic where any value being compared may equal the source value in order to return an equal value for the group. You can compare values with or without regard to case (case sensitive or case insensitive). For example, in a case-insensitive comparison, abc is the same as ABC or aBc. Note: The ORNOTEQUAL function compares multiple fields or variables to a specified field or variable to determine if any are not equal. Syntax: {OREQUAL( «no case» , «compare_to» , «value1» , «value2»,,,, )} Arguments: «no case» 1 = case insensitive 0 = case sensitive«compare_to» Value to compare against other values«value1» Value to be compared You can type "PICK: to display the Picklist window for selecting a picklist to determine if any of its values is equal to the source value. «value2»,,,, (to «valuen») Each additional value to be compared Returns: 1 = Equal 0 = Not equal

NOTEQUAL Function

Use: Compares multiple fields or variables to a specified value to determine if all of their values are not equal. This function uses AND logic where each value being compared must not equal the source value in order to return a no equal value for the group. You can compare values with or without regard to case (case sensitive or case insensitive). For example, in a case-insensitive comparison, abc is the same as ABC or aBc. Use: Required when ASSIGN, CONFIRM, INPUTBOX, or PICKARRAY function parameters are used for the true/false values in the IFELSE Function. The addition of this subfunction ensures that the IFELSE function is evaluated correctly and returns the valid true or false value.
