Assign a User to Groups within Any Enterprise

After you create a user in one group, you can add that same user to additional groups in any practice within any enterprise that you have the security rights to access. Note: If a user is assigned to more than one group, the user inherits the rights and permissions of all of the groups to which he or she is assigned. Select the user that you want to assign the groups to. Right-click the user, then select User/Group Assignment. The Find Groups window displays all the groups that you have the permissions to access. The check box is selected for each group that the user is already a member of. To change the number of groups in the list, select one of the following: To see the complete list, select All. To see only the groups assigned to the user, select Assigned to User. This option is helpful if you want to remove the user from multiple groups at once. Add Existing Users to a Single Group

You can add existing users to another group in any practice. Use the following steps when there is only one group that you want to add users to. For example, you might want to add existing users to a newly created group. Note: If a user is assigned to more than one group, the user inherits the rights and permissions of all of the groups to which he or she is assigned. Select the group that you want to add an existing user to. Right-click the group, then select Add Existing User. The Select User window appears. An icon appears next to the users that are already members of the group. Select the user you want to add. Note: To search for a user, do the following in the order listed: First, select Find. On the Find window, select whether you want to search by last name, first name, or user ID. Enter the search criteria in the text box. The search results display in the User and Practice list. In the list, select the user you want to add, then select OK to return to the Select User window. S

You can add existing groups from one practice to another. When you add existing groups to a practice, the group security rights are copied over but none of the users originally assigned to the groups are copied over. This method of adding groups is useful when you need to add a lot of groups to a new practice. Select a practice to add the existing groups. Right-click the practice, then select Add Existing Groups. The Select Group window appears. Expand the appropriate practice, and then select the check boxes of the groups you want to add to the practice. Note: If you want to select all groups in a practice, select the check box for the practice. Select Add.A message asks if you are sure you want to add the selected groups. Select Yes to add the existing group to the selected Practice. Select Exit to save the group to the practice. Add users to the groups by either creating new users or adding existing ones. Add Members to a Patient Group

The Members tab on the Patient Group window enables you to add patients with charts to the group. When you add a person without a chart, you are prompted to create their chart during the process. You can also manage existing future group appointments for the added members. Access Patient Groups.The Patient Group Search window opens. Search for a Patient Group. From the Matching Records section of the Patient Group Search window, select a group and then do one of the following: Select Open. Select Open Menu and select Open. Right-click and select Open. Select the Members tab. Note: Programs display for a patient when their Program Enrollment Date is on or before the current system date (today) and their Program Discharge Date is on or after the current system date or blank.
