Subgroup	Used in	Description
Enterprise	NextGen® Enterprise PM	Enables users to access Enterprise Preferences.
Locations	NextGen® Enterprise PM	Enables users to access their own Location User Preferences. For users to save changes to their preferences, they must also have the MODULES > PM User Location Preferences security right.
Practice	NextGen® Enterprise PM	Enables users to access Practice Preferences.
Scheduling	NextGen® Enterprise PM	Enables users to access and modify their own Scheduling User Preferences.
Significant Events	NextGen® Enterprise PM	Enables users to access the Significant Events Preference settings in NextGen® Enterprise PM and to select the significant events they want to track.
System Significant Events	NextGen® Enterprise PM & NextGen® Enterprise EHR	Enables users to access the Significant Events settings in the System Administrator application and to select the significant events they want to track. Also enables users to access the system-level significant event settings in NextGen® Enterprise PM.

The NextGen® Enterprise EHR Documents Operations Subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to perform actions in Document Builder. Subgroup Used in Description Add Document Addendums NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to add an addendum to a previously approved patient document in the TX Text document viewer only. Note: : The Save As RTF Universal Preference must be set to True. Edit Category Selections NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to add a document to a category while they are generating the document. Export NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to export NextGen® Enterprise EHR documents from one NextGen database to another. The PM User Location Preferences module subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to view, modify, and update: their own location in the User Preferences settings in NextGen® Enterprise PM. If the Access Rights are cleared, users can view the User Preferences but cannot save changes to them. the Default User Prefs - Locations master file in File Maintenance. Note: The right under Operations > Preferences > User controls whether the users can access the NextGen® Enterprise PM User Preferences. If the Operations right is turned off, then the NextGen® Enterprise PM menu item Locations (under PM > Admin menu > Preferences > User) is disabled. The PM User General Preferences module subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to view, modify, and update: their own general User Preferences settings in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Set User Preferences Rights

You can determine whether users can change their own User Preferences in NextGen® Enterprise PM. If these rights are enabled and you apply default user preferences to the users, then the users can change the preferences. If you disable the rights, the users are restricted from making changes. Open System Administrator. Select a group. On the Rights tab, select: Under OPERATIONS > Preferences > Location, set whether the users can access the location User Preferences to set up preferred locations. If this Operations right is turned off, then the Locations menu item in NextGen® Enterprise PM (under Admin > Preferences > User) is disabled. Under OPERATIONS > Preferences > Scheduling, set whether the users can access the scheduling User Preferences. If this Operations right is turned off, then the Scheduling menu item in NextGen® Enterprise PM (under Admin > Preferences > User) is disabled. Under OPERATIONS > Preferences > User, set whether the users can access the general User Preferences.
