External Preferences Information

In the External preferences in the Practice Preferences window, you can set preferences for connectivity with external systems, communication with third-party applications, immunization registry, real-time address validation, and clearing house. Field Description Enable External System Connectivity Connects to an external system such as a RHIO. Override Enterprise System Connectivity Overrides enterprise system connectivity. Complete the USPS Registration Form

You must complete the Registration for USPS Web Tools form to register for a United States Postal Service (USPS) user ID and password. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Admin > Preferences > Practice The Practice Preferences window opens. From Preferences List, select External. In the USPS Address Validation section, select the Enable Address Validation check box. Select the Click Here link. The Registration for USPS Web Tools page opens.
