Create a New Public/Private Key Pair

  • On the SSL Manager tab, select the New button next to the My Certificates table to open the Generate New Keypair window.

Alias Area

  • Enter the Certificate Alias for the new key pair. This field is required.

Subject Area

Enter the following information in the Subject area:

  • Common Name: Enter the host name associated with the certificate. This is a required field.
  • Organizational Unit:
  • Organization:
  • Country:, State:, Locality:
  • Email:

Validity Area

Enter the valid dates for the new key pair:

  • Valid From: Enter the date and time that the certificate becomes valid.
  • Valid Until: Enter the date and time that the certificate validity ends.

Key Generation Area

Enter the key generation information:

  • Algorithm: Select either RSA or DSA encryption.
  • Key Size: Select either 2048 or 4096 from the pull-down menu.
  • Signature Algorithm: Select a signature algorithm from the pull-down menu.

Subject Alternative Name Area

Enter any alternative names in this area.

  • Select New.
  • Double-click the "www.example1.com" sample and enter your alternative name.

Once all required* fields and additional information are complete, select OK. The new certificate appears on the My Certificates list.
