Charges Grid

On the Charges grid, the Description column displays the Visit code (if applicable) and any documented treatments from Single Visit except for DME items. Note: You cannot change any charges on the Fee Sheet. You must make all documentation changes on the appropriate templates and then reopen the Fee Sheet to display the appropriate charges for that encounter. All necessary modifiers are automatically applied to the CPT codes based on the rules set up on the Billing Config system template for the payer attached to the case. If a code is shown as Not Billed, the system will not send that CPT to NextGen® Enterprise PM. A Not Billed designation could be due to the following: The code is prevented for that payer on the Billing Config system template. The code does not have enough time documented based on the configuration for that code. The code was marked as Concurrent on the template. Any code marked as Concurrent will not be billed. Open the Fee Sheet

Do one of the following: Select the Fee Sheet tab in the workflow bar. Select the Fee Sheet button below the panels on Chiro Single Visit. Fee Sheet button When you open the Fee Sheet template, the system uses the documentation on the encounter to determine which codes and total number of units can be billed. It takes into consideration any payer-specific billing rules configured in the Billing Configuration system template, and adjusts billing as needed based on the payer attached to the case. Functional Reporting/Quality Measure Codes and DME

The Functional Reporting/Quality Measure Codes grid displays any functional outcome study codes documented on the patient, or any completed Quality Measure codes. Add a Billing Limitation

Select the field below the grid Financial Category column. A picklist opens. Select one of the Financial Categories you created in the Financial Class Setup grid, and then select OK. Select the Payer Name field. A list of payers for the selected Financial Category opens. Select a payer, and then select OK. Select the State field and select the appropriate state or select the asterisk, for all states. If the payer follows the Medicare Combine (MC) rule, select the MC Rule checkbox and then choose an option for whether the rule is applied by Time or Rate. If there is a billing unit cap for the financial class or payer, enter it in the Billing Cap field. Select Add/Update to add the billing limitation to the grid.
