Update an Alert

Select the alert that you want to update in the grid. The fields above the grid fill in with the details for the selected alert. To change the number of days or visits remaining before the alert fires, update the entry in the When field. To change the selected tracking variable, select the other option, Days or Visits. Alerts Section

Use the Alerts section to customize the alerts that appears on the NTS Homepage template when an authorization is about to expire or has expired. You can set alerts for Days (these trigger off of the pre-certification expiration date) or Visits remaining. Re-certify an Existing Authorization

Select the payer from the Insurance Information grid. Select the Visits option below the Precertification/Authorization grid. Using the fields below the Precertification/Authorization grid, enter the authorization information that includes: NBR, Authorization #, Effective Date, Expiration Date, and # Visits. Note: If re-certifying an existing authorization for a payer, be sure to select the same NBR as the previous authorization. The Pre-Cert Company, Associated Diagnosis and Expiration Date fields are optional. The Associated Diagnosis grid only displays Dx codes after the therapist has established the treating diagnosis. Enter a New Authorization by Visits

Select the payer from the Insurance Information grid. Select the Visits option below the Precertification/Authorization grid. Use the fields below the Precertification/Authorization grid to enter the authorization information: NBR, Authorization #, Effective Date, Expiration Date and Visits. Note: You can use the Get button to populate the fields with authorization information that has already been attached to the Insurance in the NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Get and then select the appropriate authorization from the picklist to pull into the Pre-Cert template fields. You must assign the NBR manually. Entries for Pre-Cert Company, Expiration Date, and Associated Diagnosis are optional. The Associated Diagnosis grid only displays Dx codes after you have established the treating diagnosis. Add a Payer to the Payer Picklist

Add a payer to the Payer Picklist grid, if: You want that payer to have different pre-certification reminder timelines than the Default entry, especially if the payer requires greater or lesser advanced notice to issue a new precertification than is set for the default. You want to add the payer to the Payer Default list. You want a different alert to fire for the payer (they will also need to be added to the Payer Default grid). Select the Payer Name field. The AINF Pre Cert System Payers picklist opens. This list pulls payers from your Payer Master file. Select the payer, and then select OK. To add a specific alert to appear for that payer, enter the text in the Payer Specific Alert field. Note: If you would like an alert to show for that payer on the Pre-cert template when the Precert Not Required button is selected, enter it in the Payer Specific Alert field. Mark an Authorization as Done
