Upgrading NextGen Direct to Desktop

If a new version of NextGen D2D is available, a message informing you about the latest version appears when you open the NextGen D2D window. If you open NextGen D2D in the normal mode, you can only view information about the latest version. You cannot install the latest update. NextGen D2D window You can upgrade to the latest version from the NextGen D2D window only if you open NextGen D2D in the administrator mode. You can either select Update to install the most recent version or select Not now to keep using the current version. Install Task Scheduler using Curl Command

Before you begin Ensure that you have curl installed on your desktop. Open the Command Prompt window on your desktop and run as administrator. Enter the following curl command:curl -# -o AutoUpdate.zip https://d2d-package.entradahealth.net/Autoupdate/AutoUpdate.zip && mkdir AutoUpdate && tar –xvzf AutoUpdate.zip -C AutoUpdate && cd AutoUpdate && set "ENVIRONMENT=prod" && NextGen.Mobile.D2d.AutoUpdate.exe Select Enter on keyboard. To install the task scheduler, do one of the following: Open NextGen Mobile Cloud Portal, and then select NextGen D2D. Cloud Portal Home window Go to https://d2d-package.entradahealth.net/. Unzip the contents of the AutoUpdate installer file to the AutoUpdate folder. Open the Command Prompt window on your desktop and run as administrator. You can install NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop (D2D) on your desktop and set up Direct to Desktop in NextGen® Mobile to dictate text directly into desired locations. Note: The NextGen® Mobile plus users can use the Direct to Desktop functionality in NextGen® Mobile version 9.0.0 or later. Note: For hosted clients, the clinic's IT team or the NextGen Hosting Services team must install NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop on the terminal servers where NextGen® Enterprise EHR is installed. Users can open NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop on the available terminal server and pair with NextGen® Mobile. NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop saves the pairing records per user log on and desktop.
