Patient Schedules

On Patient Chart, you can select the Schedule list to open Patient Schedules, and then select a schedule from the list to open the schedule specific view. The schedule specific view displays the schedule date and the practice location. You can select Continue Search on Server to view the available schedules on the server Note: The Schedule option is available for non- NextGen® Enterprise users. Patient Chart View If the patient is checked-in in the schedule specific view, you can view the following: In Facesheet, the Charges section displays the charges. Create Encounters

You can create an encounter using the default current date or you can select an earlier date. You cannot create an encounter with a future date. Open NextGen® Mobile. On the menu bar, select Schedule. The Schedules window opens. Select the patient. The Patient Chart window opens. Select the Encounter field. The Patient Encounters window opens. To select a different date for the encounter, do the following: Select the Create Encounter field. The date selection view appears. Select the desired date. Select Done. The Patient Encounters window displays the selected date. To create an encounter, select Create Encounter. The Patient Chart window opens with the current date in the Encounter Date field. View the Current Medications for a Patient

You can view the medications of a patient in the Medications module. The controlled substances medication names appear in red color. In NextGen® Mobile, select a patient.The Patient Chart view opens. If the medications are prescribed to the patient, the Medications module displays a value in parenthesis. The value indicates the number of active medications prescribed. If no value is displayed, the patient does not have active medications. The patient can have inactive or pending medications. Select the Medications section.The list of active patient medications appears. Medication section For properly configured NextGen Healthcare clinics, the patient’s medication formulary eligibility status appears in Rx Eligibility. To view the patient’s inactive or pending medications, select Active and select Inactive or Pending in the displayed list. Select Medication Statuses to Display in the Medications List

You can select which medication status groups to display in the Medications List. All medications with the same status are listed together under that status in the Medications List. For example, all active medications will be listed under the Active grouping. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open Medications module. Select Grid Preferences. Viewing Patient Medications

You can view the patient's medications in the Medications panel on the Intake template. You can view the patient's active medications and the medications prescribed, modified, and renewed during the encounter in the Medications panel. You can prescribe additional medications, and reconcile them with the medications the patient is consuming. The No medications this encounter check box is encounter-based. If you select the No medications this encounter check box on a previous encounter and then select the Prescribed Elsewhere check box to prescribe medications in the current encounter, the No medications this encounter check box for the previous encounter remains selected. Patients can view their active and prescribed medications for the encounter in the documents. View Patient Medications

Before you begin You must ensure that you have the View access right enabled in MODULES > Medical Records > Medications in System Administrator. For more information on user access rights, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. You can view a quick list of the patient's active medications and also open the Medications module to add, update, or reconcile the patient's medications. A total count of the patient's active medications appears on the Medications button on the Quick Buttons panel. Note: The icon indicates that the patient account does not have any active medications records and the No Active Medications check box in Medication Module is not selected.
